  1. Hey Everyone! So an update on the problem. Put some K-seal in and seemed ok for a few days but then it all went to **** again! I took it to a recommended VW garage JR Volkswagen in Paisley. The guy was totally awesome and I told him the problem and all the thoughts and opinions you guys shared and my suspicion of a head gasket. Turns out that was the problem so its been skimmed and fitted and everything seems ok. I haven't got the Corrado back yet as I'm getting the manual fan with on the dash changed back to automatic but hopefully she will be home safe and sound next week! Can't thank you all enough for the thoughts and opinions and I'm so glad she is still running.

Is this the garage in the industrial estate near the Arnold Clark repair centre? I took mine there for an MOT and he was good..

Good news on the fault being found…

  2. Iv just messaged that guy on ebay and asked if he would consider changing hos prices to wich he replied they are genuine parts and therfore better so he would do them for 130 plus delivery , i told him i wouldnt pay 50% more than brand new for second hand parts

Im not fussed about the odd scratches by the way as they will be going orange

What are you planning on using for tinting?

  3. No wrong answer for this really..

So long as it looks like it could have been factory or is period correct and all parts compliment each other then you are on to a winner..

Very safe way of modifying, doesn't change much from original which if you like the original package then is just putting your own mark on the car..

  4. When I had a storm I wanted it confirmed. I rang a department of Vw uk and they were available to confirm both verbally and they sent me a letter. I'll have a look Sean and see if I have the details.

Good idea on poaching bits from the spare car.

  5. The underseal is original. I think with these cars it's luck of the draw as to how much paint was actually out on. The silver does blend nicely into the stone chip colour though.

Room is minimal on the axle stands but is ok for the work I've done so far. In an ideal work we would all have some sort of a lift. It must make it so much easier.

  6. I'm off in April mate. Not back until December so everyone will have tucked them away again long before that! Hoping to make an early season show or two before I go though.

Thats a long time mate, not ideal.. There are a few shows before you go which will be worth going to while you have the chance...

  7. Looks fantastic under there Michael, I wouldnt do anything else with that centre tunnel shield.

I was there when Mike polished the tunnel shield, took under 2 mins to get it like that..

Im hoping i can get the front tunnel shield to a good standard without removing it. Id prefer to avoid removing the cat.

  8. Looks spanking Michael, hope I get to see this next year if you bring it out before I go.

When you away on your travels Sean? Will be out and about, ill be in Pompey from May for quite a while..

hello, mate how you get the heat shield soooo dam clean what did you use??

Chris.. Hello mate… They were professionally satin polished and then its a case of 2k grit, scotchbrite and some metal polish...
