  1. Yip 23rd.. My M6 knowledge isn't great but I'm going M6, M42, M40 etc… Does that tally up with that junction?
  2. You in a rush Jim? Im heading down the M6 a week on sunday.. Could meet you if it suits and eliminate the need for postage.. The cams themselves, i don't know… 25 quid suit?
  3. Are these not available from Classic VW?
  4. I took 420 photos across the weekend… Ill sort a few out later on.. I won Best Corrado… Felt very much like i did last year, car looked standard next to some of the stuff.. Here is a couple.. Sheer VW Coupe Perfection… every box ticked there for me, some OEM bits, so subtle but over the top, the wheels, the paint and the engine bay was a work of art… And i took this when i stopped off on the way home… It sums up Ultimate Dubs for me… The Scirroco is nice but see what i mean about looking like my car is standard…
  5. I have a set from my old green one that i won't be needing… Shame you didn't say before the weekend as i probably wasn't too far away from your neck of the woods and could have brought them down..
  6. Black and Beige definites and the grey interior cars probably have a grey carpet (I've never had one so couldn't say for definite.. As for numbers of LHD vs RHD i suppose that depends where you ask, the Euro/US market will probably be greater than us lot.. What would people be prepared to pay, i don't know, if your carpet is suddenly ruined (heater Matrix for example) then probably quite a bit but if you carpet is neglected over time then that may be a reflection of what the car is used for and i therefore unlikely to have a custodian who wants to hand over x number of pounds to sort it.. Im sure someone with a breaker would help you out with a sample
  7. Thats me home, great weekend… Weather today and for the Saturday night outdoor show was great.. As ever some of the cars were unreal, the green Mk1 Rocco easily took it for me, faultless.. Nice to meet Harrier last night although i seem to have managed to miss any other Corrado owners.. Did bump into C5 OEM and Matt from Trimsport along the way.. Very pleased to have walked away with a Trophy as well...
  8. In all seriousness I've been passively looking for a set 5 x 100, 17 x 8 for ages.. If i find them they are going on…. We may joke about them but so many modern wheels are based on them..
  9. thanks very much, I'm afraid we are all in the same position, i look at others and can pick a million holes in mine..
  10. Thanks very much Matt and i probably will take you up on the offer.. Ill be looking for detailed measurements of the name plate.. First question on that subject is the font size of VSR the same as the DOHC on the engine cover and is the depth of the lettering the same? I have the full set up for the manifold, wiring, vacuum, controller but will not be using it. Im going to have a blank made up so it runs like a normal VR6 manifold.. Its off for blasting on Monday so will have it back later in the week ready to paint..
  11. I bought bolts from him over a period of time. Initially fine.. then the last order i specified sizes and ended up with a collection of stocking fillers.. There is a lot of poor reports popping up. If you offer a service or goods and don't deliver then its fair enough for a ban to protect anyone in future...
  12. Bet you are like a Kid on Christmas eve.. Enjoy...
  13. Water cooled Coupes i believe… Im sure Kip will confirm that...
  14. Ultra violets and silver…lovely and unusual combination..Looks like a great car.. Any more pics?
  15. There are some superb examples on that thread on Vortex… I know Dinkus (previous Mod) had a nice one with black cloth Recaros. Im sure the next owner is still around...
  16. I am chuffed to have got my hands on one. Only 500 were ever made.. After a bit of chopping and removing all the bits from the manifold here is what it will look like….eventually..
  17. As far as i know the car hasn't been sold yet so you never know.. Might be worth a shout...
  18. That is such an insult, we are even being told what we should be thinking...
  19. I try my best James… Latest update.. Ive been looking for one of these for a while, one came up late last year but funds didn't permit.. finally managed to find one, a VW Motorsport VSR.. It will be a while before its on the car. I want to have it blasted to return some of the texture to the casting and the observant amongst you will see the vacuum actuator is from a Schrick not a VSR so wil not allow the DOHC panel to be fitted.. Im not to worried about it as it will be getting removed and a blanking plate fitted.. The intention is to run it without any switch capability as i don't want vacuum lines and the reservoir under the bonnet. The name plate is also missing and i am on to leads to have one made, maybe an exact copy of an original or maybe something ever so slightly different.. These manifolds have a very interesting history, some are complete, some do not have the Pierburg logo on the casting or the knuckle halfway along the front. Some have a serial number underneath along with a VW and Audi logo whereas this one does not have the VAG logo on it. I have heard talk of prototypes but no one can say for definite. I have spoken to a number of people about there history (including a chap in the States who has 2 amazing Corrados but wearing VSRs and a 10k VR6 standard) who has been helpful with pictures of the name plate and some measurements.. The engine plastics need slight adjustment and the inlet elbow doesn't work due to the angle of the throttle so most use the early rubber type. Here are a collection of spare bits for me to try and id really like to use a late elbow if i can.. Id like to thank Tekara (Ross) from here who has had the patience of a saint selling this to me, i have asked a lot of questions. A long standing member of the community who has sadly sold his car on (to is about to)..why did none of you try and buy his 16" speed lines?? Enough chat, back to the polishing...
  20. Just for a minor rant i think its pointless that number plates are age related, who needs to know what year a car is? If you are buying the car then it will be on a document (V5).. This is how some other countries do it and they sell personal or vanity plates at far better prices than we get fleeced for here.. Or is it just so some people can feel very proud of the fact that they have "this years" number and this will encourage others to want to shell out for a new car.. Absolute load of crap imho.. And while we are on, the new number scheme is badly thought, if we have to have the year then put the year on and its not 2064 yet..
  21. Could be an ideal solution though, at least you don't have to strip it and post everything.. Not going to be easy either way as you are so attached...
  22. Thanks very much, it is a lovely colour…easy to make it look good in some ways but you never get the depth that you can get from a well detailed dark colour..
  23. I know the feeling, I've got a similar distance. Last year some of that was in the snow..
  24. Coming along very nicely… Hope we get some more good weather to get some more done..
