  1. You could get a clean shell or just buy another, strip it down, make your car out of two, collect a load of spares and sell on thing you don't need.. Not a quick option but ultimately you will end with the car exactly how you want it.. BEst of luck with which ever way you go..
  2. Who are these manufactured by?
  3. Fair dos, interested to see where you have gone with this, always been such a great car and one that is actually used..
  4. Just WD40 Chris…gets any marks off nicely and shined the silver plug connections up nicely, not that they are visible.. Thanks very much Bally…i missed my old one a lot so its good to have another...
  5. They are socket bolts...
  6. There is a slight down slope on my drive but i will look into the heights. I haven't adjusted the setup at all.. Today was a big day, i have the engine back together now so after polishing my HT leads and refilling the coolant it was time to fire her up. After turning the engine over to get some oil circulating i started her up, so chuffed that it is smooth and quiet. I was apprehensive about starting it for the first time after a cam change, gaskets (no oil or inlet leaks), coolant change (all warmed up while 'massaging the hoses' to avoid any airlocks etc. Id forgotten it was actually the first time the starter had been used so all ok. I have a few sundry bits to put back and to recommission the gear linkage once i get some of the brackets back from the plater and then she is good to go.. I can't wait to actually drive it again after it having quite a spell of hibernation...
  7. I think that is a part of the clip that secure the fuel pipes to the rocker cover .. No idea how it would get in there though..
  8. Nice engine build and the leather looks in very good condition...
  9. My mate had a Vectra GSI some years ago and i was always a fan of the bumpers, those wheels are a very nice bonus also.. I hope you aren't blaming me for you spending on the Rado… How are you for room for the strut brace with the R32 lump in there?
  10. Spacers may well be used..Im dead chuffed with the condition of the silver centres, if they have been past their best id have to lose them and black is the only available option… There is plenty of room in the rear arches as they are rolled.. Interesting to hear differences in opinion…i agree they are more classic looking but the comps are so nice, I've just returned from the beer fridge in the garage and had a peep and its a different car on both sides, what a nice problem to have...

    Leather Interior

Leather for a weekend car, cloth for anything used more frequently although Mr Portent you own lovely Recaros that i wouldn't be using all the time.. I agree about the Golf comment although it works the other war around, Mk2s should not have leather...
  12. The comps certainly look a lot more 'meaty', if that makes sense. The RCs look surprisingly wide in the flesh, i thought they wouldn't after the 8" wide comps. I think its going to be a nice change to be able to make, RCs for some occasions and Comps for others. One thing about RCs as others have said is they are very light for a 17", not that it really matters to me, this is an ornament not a track driver.. I thoroughly enjoyed giving the car a wash today and have progressed with some more assembly of the engine bay along with a complete coolant drain down and some fresh spark plugs going in..
  13. Here are a few pictures of the wheel try on.. First up, bit of both.. Next, RCs only.. I don't know which i prefer, the idea was to give the car an alternative look..
  14. Off topic…I'm a submariner… On topic, glad its been highlighted before anything bad happened...
  15. Wait for them to clear and withdraw them before allowing collection. How can you both sign the V5 though if she isn't present?
  16. Thanks very much to you for deciding to let them go.. A good broadside shot should be on the cards for tomorrow..
  17. Honestly the car is filthy, its covered in dust.. If i manage to get it on the drive tomorrow Graeme ill do a picture of it with odd wheels one side before i swap.. Mike the polisher thinks he can get me in in a week or sos time to have 2 x Mos and $ x RCs done all the same colour to match the MOs as they are.. It seems a shame to refurb these RCs as they are very good but i want them a shade darker.. What you found James?
  18. Yes Mk4, i didn't order it specifically Jon, i think our Corrado ones have been superseded.. This is the bay at the close of play today, been a while since the manifold and the car were acquainted.. A little trial fit of one of these, all being well ill roll her out tomorrow and throw one on the front and i may treat her to a wash as well…
  19. Its the bracket that the fan controller and the washer bottle are mounted to...
  20. I was wondering what became of the incident last year, all sorted? Anyone heard anything?
  21. That brake reservoir got me excited enough to get one ordered… we just need to find some transparent brake fluid now so it stays looking like that..
  22. I updated my discount code over the telephone, shame i missed it on the last order but good to know for next time.. Again these guys have found some long since obsolete parts for me. I'm not denying some of it isn't dirt cheap however i think we all have to be glad some parts exist at this stage in the Corrado's life..
