  1. Nice VR6, classic green possibly with cream leather heading through Elderslie about 1830 today...
  2. Ill be selling my Compomotive Mo5 soon which are very close to speed lines, I'm not going to lie though they won't be dirt cheap as they are mint, discontinued and the perfect width/offset for a VR6..
  3. For those who have tackled this already what is the best procedure for refurbing headlights? Tips for splitting them down with breaking anything? Ive seen the wiki on stripping them but wondered if anyone had any experiences they'd want to share? Cleaning fluids needed etc etc?
  4. You asking for a picture of my lady's undercarriage? Haven't covered up all the base coat due to the colour contamination so will leave it over night and finish the job tomorrow.. Ill put a pic up then...
  5. You need someone else to hold the bonnet up.. the prop itself if you unclip it and then lean it back toward the windscreen (to the left of the washer bottle), jiggle it and swear at it then it should come out. The rubber grommet thing stays behind.. You need to get it as low down as possible to get it out..
  6. Interesting… Some VSRs have the VW logo on and some don't.. Also your serial number, the 921123, mine is 923124. I wonder if they are individually numbered, i know they had labels originally on the name plate that had a number on but to put it in the casting seems a lot of effort for little gain..
  7. Ok, my thought so far.. Leave the base coat as long as possible or it mixes with the grey underseal, the base is brown.. The grey colour is an identical match to factory and for us silver drivers it doesn't even look like it will need a blow over with some colour.. If you are a solvent abuser its 2 for the price of one, its mega strong..
  8. The underseal does indeed say it can be applied using an air gun although ill be going for the brush method.. Id prepared the areas I'm working on and the base coat is on, once its dried ill have a go with the underseal.. I intend on getting some silver spray (although i don't know where to get it) to blow over the area once I'm happy..
  9. I only need to do a couple of local repairs rather than complete floor or large areas so haven't bothered.. How did you get on with it?
  10. There were some seats available with this car… Out of interest if you look on the underside of your VSR does it have a VW Audi logo near the part number (throttle body end)
  11. I contacted these guys today.. Very helpful, advised me to place order through ebay as they charge less postage. Have opted for a primer as well. The grey underseal is brush on, the black one is spray on, I've gone for the grey one and will report findings as and when (hopefully this weekend.. Ive got a lot of car bits planned but this is top of the list..
  12. Same issue for me…Any ideas..
  13. Progress… VSR collected yesterday, has been textured powder coated (minus the logo to retain its definition) and is in the process of being painted. Seems a shame as it looked quite nice in the grey powder.. Wheels have landed, they are in very good shape, these have never been refurbed and are an easy 9 out of 10 as they stand. Plan is to get the drilling and refurbing done and then its decision time on tyres, buy more, remove from the Compomotives and sell the rims, I'm not sure yet but I'm fairly sure that the RCs are a keeper, they are a nice classic look whereas these Nothelles and Compmotives are a similar, flat faced chunky style.. I have also changed all the tubing on the washer jets, there was some "tube envy" having seen those who had done this already, the cabling in that area was also stripped and rewrapped...
  14. Im glad some of the politics of this have been cleared up.. I was never aware of the reload option...
  15. Im in need of the clip that holds the two coolant hoses that go to the top of the throttle body.. Does anyone have anything spare (i mean the plastic one that holds them together).. Im assuming there is only meant to be one… Also on the look out for a functioning ashtray bulb (late spec), happy to buy the full ashtray if needed...
  16. Having just removed these from the box this afternoon they look superb and too nice to fit to a car..
  17. The factory stuff, part number D 003 500 isn't available anymore sadly… Is this 3m stuff a similar thing?
  18. I enquired two weeks ago…denied..gutted..
  19. No need to remove the front end.. Coilpack cover, coil pack and you are pretty much in the area.. (assuming its a VR)
  20. Sorry for the lack of reply, as stated not the ABS pump I'm after… Shame as you are so near...
  21. Perosnally i think that is worth that every day of the week… It really is time we stop underestimating our corrado values..
  22. The bung is a good compromise.. I had one on my old Green one and it wasn't really noticeable and never offended me.. I don't know how well it would work for those with light cars...
