Nice purchase Karl… Plenty of options for car play with it as well to keep you busy...
  5. As the actress said to the bishop….
  6. If you have one great but I've just taken the original one off so will get that sorted out.. Question in this area.. Does the clutch cylinder just go back in or does it need lining up?
  7. Thanks for trying anyway.. Obsolete for the dealer - surprise surprise..
  8. Nightmare… Whenever you get the chance… Im tempted to phone the dealer tomorrow although i think it will be a wasted effort...
  9. It has a part number on it if that helps anyone.. 535971804a
  10. Not to worry mate, was worth a try… Any other hoarders got anything???
  11. Welcome along.. Have a look in the breakers section or post an ad in the wanted section.. You may be lucky enough to get one in the colour you are after...
  12. I think its too wide, early cars have narrow wings.. You need one where the line that goes round the bumper flicks up and follows the shape of the wheel arch.. The VR ones are straight lined all the way around...
  13. You can see it in this picture, well the top of it with the plastic cable guide on it..
  14. Is is that one mate… Anyone had any joy?
  15. Wonder who's that is then… Another sunny day today so no testing the membrane - yet…
  16. As said the guide is good.. Use locking plates, i did a set a number of years ago without, not as easy. Use of plate plus the mark on the crank pulley(remove the plastic trim piece behind the OSF wheel arch to see) and the timing mark when you look down inside the chains means you can't go wrong. If they all line up then its set up correctly. The cams with sprockets still attached are fiddly to get out under the chain but it is doable, just take your time. Thats just a few things i can think of off the top of my head, as you go it will all become clear..
  17. For the 180 these went for i hope they are as good as they have been made out to be..
  18. I managed to get the gear linkage all back together today and took it for a test move.. arm, didn't go to well, if you tighten the nut on the top linkage cable in the wrong place gears aren't where you think they are. I could get first by going for reverse and second was no where to be seen.. Managed to sort it and have had a few runs and tests of it.. This is the first time the car has moved (aside me rolling it out) for a long time.. Other than that I've wax/sealed all the wheels.. I was given a pot of Autofinesse mint sealant, i know its a bit scene and i didn't really want to like it but it is very good, not the easiest to use but good results..
  19. Have you got a dark VR as well as this one? I keep seeing it around and about...
  20. Nice one mate.. It has two mounting holes and has a 90 degree bend in it to support the cable.. It looks a bit like an upside down Y..
  21. Ill take that please.. Pm me your details...
  22. Im after a bracket that accommodates the fan cabling as it passes across the top of the gearbox.. It is for a VR6 box.. Can anyone assist - postage to glasgow area ..
