Yeah I'm currently having a mental argument with my wallet! LOL! :D Aha! yep now parked up infront of the garage at my Mums, I'll be round there this Saturday clearing the garage ready for her to roll in... ;) - spent a couple of hours cleaning it up, really pleased how it's come up - machine moped and a gallon of wax and she's going to look great..... Hmmmm it'll look even better with that manifold! lol
-
Very nice! Kind of condition I hope to bring mine round too - out of interest whats the exaust pipe? - its a rather nice subtle looking one.
-
Yeah... why am I tempted when my car doesnt even have a gearbox fitted! LOL!

Mk3 sunroof and other sunroof repair observations

I found the chrome hammers drop in to a small slot cut in the frame, as they wear they drop in further and further until they stick and the motor then shears the monkey metal slider... a small strip of plasic stuck directly under the slot stops it dropping in and sticking, worth doing as belt and braces I recon. ;) -
Well I was just about to cut the lawn in my lunch break and a pallet from Lilfuzzer turned up! :D As always suitable packaging to get me in the mood for the weekend and the job in hand! ;) A pallet full of fun! - gesssss need to address those weeds all over the driveway as soon as the Corrado is in its new home tomorrow. Looking forward to getting started now ;) Need a few more bits, a short shift from Dave if he's still around, a flywheel, a diff maybe, think about balancing and lightning the bottom end and maybe a ported head... oh and a cold can of FOSTERS! decision :) Thanks again Chris! you're a legend!

Yeah I did think about traversing the high street... I was tempted to fill it with ATF and see if it would move under its own steam... but I decided against 20 quids worth of fluid that might not work and will technically be going in the bin.. Coast will be nice... apparently the weather is going to break on Sunday thou? Ermmm no, not doing the wheel barrow race, I usually watch them come past the house, I know a few guys that do usually do it. Have a good weekend too! You should be driving the Corrado down to the coast!

I'm wondering if the diff in this would be right? http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?98678-G-reg-16v-breaking
-
Gesss why does everyone that has Corrado's for spares and breaking live in Wales, Scotland, Rome or Durham! lol :D
-
Looks like we're pushing :( - maybe a sneaky tow rope ;) we're going to move it early and hopefully avoid plod.... be passing yours at about 9am... get the kettle on! lol

This was my first car.. in that exact colour! BLMC Java Green, promptly nicknamed 'Kermit' by my mates. bought after I was told I wasn't allowed it... rebellion!! I know they're pretty terrible.. but I only really have good memories, I had it resprayed and fitted a stero with the 80's must have seperate Graphic Equilizer! Drove it for miles and it emptied my wallet in fuel over the time I owned it... sold it to someone in the same village as me and he promptly parked it up and let it rust away in his garden.... Then a few other sheds before moving to MK2 Golf GTI's ;) -
Dox, do you know the part number for the diff? or the exact model that goes in? It's crunch time this weekend, cars off to my mums for stripping out ;)
-
They're not bad at all really, far from wilton or axminster but defo better than my 15 quid ones ;)
-
I was going with the VR box and the 16V diff? - is that correct?
-
You need to move back to the UK with all these Corrado goodies!! LOL! I'm honestly not sure what size I need.... would it be worth looking at a Peloquin 16v diff maybe?
