Had a search on here and the internet and the general consensus seems to be that Elring are as close to OEM as you'll get now? anyone tried their head gaskets?
-
I could probably run to some under bonnet black.... but I cant see 5 tins of paint that I'm going to need, and the way this car is swallowing cash I'd really like to only order what I need...

Looks like the contents on the radiator sat at the bottom of the cowl over the years it was stood and has rotted it away... anyone got one for a 93 VR6? - I've got the fans and motors etc. Unless anyone knows of an upgrade path to improve on the belt driven setup?

Right wishbone bushes R32 Lemforders front/front and front/rear's, SNR wheel bearings and Pires Hubs 'check' Still stripping the running gear and gathering parts just wondering peoples thoughts on H&R springs on standard gas shocks? my car appears to have reasonably new Sachs Gas shocks on it. but I need to sort the altitude out so was thinking H&R -30's These look to be the same shocks at EuroCP's http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Volkswagen_Corrado_2.9_1993/p/car-parts/suspension/suspension-and-steering/shock-absorber/?635442150&1&7b7a991fc29529ca0db07f9ae8cf19b02c373101&000925 It wasn't good on my MK4 GTI... but the standard suspension was dire on those so I did put Koni's on it in the end. Did notice this on the H&R site... "H&R Sport Springs are the ideal solution for the enthusiast who appreciates race-bred components designed for street use. They are suitable for use with your original dampers or will work with aftermarket sport dampers." - just wondered if people have had experience with that setup?

I was about to say it can't be a million miles from a MK2 Golf TFSI - I've pulled my first VR engine out and other that the obvious size difference its pretty much identical to the MK2 GTI's I used to do in my younger years ;)

Heard that the Meyle items are made in china.... to pretty bad tolerances.... :(

Anyone know anywhere else to get this stuff? I'm a bit miffed about paying £23 for a small tin of paint!

Hi Hasan - pretty sure the pump will go straight on, not sure if the pressure is identical, I was just looking into pumps and racks for my car...
-
whip the inlet and cam cover off... undo the cam bearings.. be careful with cam location (model dependent).. drop a new set in along with a few new gaskets.. magnetic screwdriver or extension makes it easier.... voila!
-
Gessss - really small tin 348ml and £6 delivery! Talk about getting your pants pulled down! :(
-
Gessss probably have a 70's Luke Skywalker... but I think I chewed his light saber.. and maybe R2D2 somewhere... I've still got my Tamiya RC cars thou! - can't wait for my boys to be old enough for them. ;)

Does anyone know if you can get this in the UK? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Alumi-Blast-SEY-16-055-Brand-New-/122077166663?hash=item1c6c5dbc47:g:WdkAAOSwtnpXqLvd I can only find US vendors and it would work out £60 a tin....
