    You can try taking out the mechanism and lubing the inside of the mech up that sometimes solves the problem. Link below to another option bypassing thermo switch http:// http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=94222 If you end up wanting to replace the motor you can get one through vw heritage via vw classic parts in germany.     Ive just done this and replaced mine with a good used one (as you cant get the drivers side brand new anymore). Ive heard people refurbishing the motor themselves too so that might be another option. Mixed reviews on vortex about the A1 system pain to fit. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

    Just to keep this updated. Fixed my broken window regulator on the drivers side with a good used one. Note to self the mech comes out and goes in anti clockwise and make sure the bit that connects to the window is all the way down (makes the job so much easier).     There are 3 bolts in the engine bay. You should see 2 of the sticking out of the firewall in the engine and the 3rd is hidden behind the expansion tank.
