Knocking is usually bushes! same is happening to mine at the minute been on the ramps and its a anti roll bar drop link bush so obviously you have to replace the whole drop link 27 quid each from VW! My opinion get it on some ramps first

Depending on price im interested could even put a small storm badge where the ddi badge is??

Also how many bolts hold the wishbone on?

Hi as the title ive been told my anti roll bar drop link is causing the knocking noise when going over bumps so going to replace both sides anyone know the part numbers needed? Also while im at it i was going to get some new wishbones fitted as the mechanic said that the bushes are worn so rather than getting new bushes ive been told to replace the whole wishbone as the bushes are an arse to get out so part nu,bers for both sides of these as well please? Also is it worth replacing the bolts etc while im at it or should the old ones be fine ??

It varys marginaly between 90-105 deg!

Right recieved an email from TOP Gear stockport and they have said i can buy the suspension separetly but for them to fit it its going to be 250 quid instead of 151 quid because they discount the fitting if you purchase with them

So with them supplying and fitting £840

With me supplying £600 + £250 = £850

So does any one know a place around the north west area that can fit suspension for a fraction lower than 250 quid?

So suspension kit and front top mounts and bearings thats all that needs replacing really?

Ive PM'd chazrad asking where to get the bonrath top mounts from will look into R TEC 600 quid seems good! Do the top mounts come with the bearings? You dont happen to have the part numbers for the top mounts do you? Also are you replacing anything else ? Bushes?

Right i want kw varient 1's for my VR wheres the best place to get them from as the specialist near me want 840 quid for supply and fit? Also what else should be replaced at the same time top mounts ??

i know the decision is between kw varient 1's or the cheaper option some fk highsports or along those lines!

Ive done the front brake lines mate they were easy enough to do just make sure you have an extra pair of hands. I saw some decent kits off ebay with the pipe bender etc not sure if it will be long enough pipe though.

will be fitting mine next weekend hopefully so will be able to get you a few photos of it on the car etc!!

Get it sorted before it goes completly mate. My GF's cv joint went completly and left us stranded!

Just got the wheels refurbed today and all i can say is they look rather nice!! Glad i went back to the standard solitudes! Pics to follow when the weather clears up.

Do you not fail MOT's when you tint the reverse lights or do you just change the bulbs??

Got mine from halfords. My hoses are original though not the smart looking samcos 8)

Welldone on deciding to replace the clips on the hoses they come off easy but putting them back on is one pain in the arse (the old ones i mean)!!

Once you get that crack pipe off mate its plain sailing then just make sure you do up the bolts to the correct torque and dont over tighten them otherwise you will crack the plastic!

I found that parts of this page were a help but remember some of the stuff they mention is for the US corrado!!

Yeah i had the same ^^^ Used a drill bit with sandpaper on the end soon sorted that out!!
