  4. BMC CDA mate best one out there, dont go for the K&n open airfilter as it will suck in all the hot air from the engine.

  6. Worth a mention just incase you overlooked it. Has been cold in manchester the past few mornings
  7. Is the cold weather not a factor here
  8. http://www.speedycables.com/ Apparently these guys are great, not used myself but im sure they could knock you a brand new one up
  9. I had this problem where the light would come on as soon as the car starts in the morning. Mine has a new expansion tank and new coolant so what i think had happened with mine is that when the coolant flush was done the rusty deposits that have been moved around during the coolant flush had made there way into the expansion tank. Any way i did another coolant flush last week and the light has been off since.
  10. Its the low water light and the sensor sits in your expansion tank. Firstly is there water in the expansion tank as if its low it will flash, if thats ok then its either the sensor in the expansion tank thats at fault or the wiring. If your car hasnt had a coolant change in a while then i would try that first
  11. Apparently the polish remakes are crap mate stay well clear and get some off a breaker passat. And you do need the mechanisms as well
  12. You just need a late mk3 golf 16" spare mate thats what ive got in mine fits over the 288's as the late mk3 came with 288's
  13. Well heres pics of the few things ive done over the past few days 1. New aerial base not genuine but fits a treat Old New 2. Removed all the seats and gave them a good old clean and reconditioned the leather nice and soft/supple now also hoovered all the carpets while the fronts were out found £1 in change too 3. Fitted a replacement interior door card plastic the old one had a big crack down it also i fitted a spare passenger door handle ive been meaning to fit so i can now lock the car from the passenger side and while i was there fitted dave16v's famous door repair kit feels lovely now and doesnt feel like its going to fall off 4. Finally fitted my new fogs and indicators, i Lamin-xed them first before taking the old ones off, fitted nice new stainless steel screws aswell as the old ones were well crusty makes it easy if they ever have to come off again 5. Just a small one ive now removed the bullet door pins and gone back to standard looks far better Whats left to door well New steering wheel to fit New Varta Battery - Just for piece of mind Want to do a full coolant flush Oh yeah and wash it lol Jon
  14. Get some pictures if you havn't already fella with a measuring stick or ruler showing how deep it is before they cover it in tarmac and say nothing was there
  15. Ripped out all the leather and cleaned all the carpets found £1 in change (pesky money eating seats) conditioned all the leather and put it all back in
  16. Hi mate on the early abs light if you remove the front plastic with abs on it you'll see that behind that around the bulb is pretty flat now take off the front on your late light and you'll see that it sticks out more promenantly around the bulb and its that, that causes the early front not fitting the late. So i filled that down and hey presto it fits a treat. Havnt a clue why they changed them but i know that the connector end on the early light doesnt fit the connector block on our storms. Thats a good idea with the horn push i'd be interested in seeing that.
  17. Cool ill get that put on one night to give it time to stick properly
