Leon Cupra R? Quite liked mine, dash was a bit cheaper than a Mk4 Golf but other than that its a great all round car. Massive boot, good brakes, K04'd and loads of space.

4 months since last update. Just shows how much Ive been using it. Ive probably done 200mile in that time. True to form the Th's were sold. I still havent touched anything on the list that is up a few pages back so I still have the baffled sump, 288's, oils etc all to do. I did buy an exhaust for it (2nd hand Techtonics) but havent even looked at fitting it. Also had a fuel filter needing to go on. Almost bought a G60 box to rob the FD and 3rd gear from but decided against it. Maybe with the better weather and later nights starting I'll look at it again. -
Folks Ive put this up again at a lower price. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171017096263?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649#ht_417wt_1057

Whats the cost from them?

Going by reviews you made a good choice. I love the way my 130i drives, not sure on the new styling yet.
-
It was not quite as described. Nothing major but lots of little things that werent mentioned maybe they didnt mean something to the guy but they did to me. That and the fact that I had a 600mile drive home with it so head ruled heart.

I acutally went from Aberdeen to Exeter to buy this car about three years ago. Sounds like some good work done on it, when was the respray done? Probably in the range of £2500 I would have thought.

Would you post the schrick + its bits? Any photos of the brakes? -
The lad doesnt really go on forums at all.

Acutally original integrale wheels were made by Speedline. They are Compomtive TH2's bought as they mimic the original Lancia wheel very closely. At the time they were the only 5x100 set in the world. A bit of a bugger when I bent one. If anyone wants to know anything about the car please ask and I will help where i can.
-
Its exactly the same as when I sold it apart from black headlining.
-
If I didnt have my RS It would be back with me. Such a great car and taught me a lot about using quality components and how things affect performance on a car. So much so that my long term plan is to build the silver one into something similar. I did ask for the wheels back but it was a no go.
-
He offered it back to me. Was in the process of putting up and advert to sell my silver one to buy it back but I decided I moved on for a reason. Its a top car and the lad is a VW tech so its been looked after. Its basically the same as when I sold it.

Thats more the reason for the sudden jump. Oil complanies do make massive profits but thats due to economies of scale, they are so big and produce so much of the stuff that they make big profits. The richer get richer Im afraid but this is because these companies took the risks back in the 60's / 70's to go for black gold. Im not saying they should morally reduce the % they take as it is buisness at the end of the day. I dont work for one by the way. If you want some money back then invest in some shares in the oil companies. They know its a necessity for us hence why the prices wont ever drop a lot but look at this way £1.39 for one litre of something that has been drilled from say 10kft below the ground, pumped onshore, refined then shipped to the petrol pump an thats including the goverment tax is not really that expensive. To drill and complete one well in the North Sea is estimated to cost a company between $50-70m so its a risk if its a duster. Compare it to how much is a litre of bottled water is these days....

Scottish rado's... where are they all???

Combine it with a trackscotland event. We can then get on yhe track as well. -
No way. I'll check it and respond.

Well I fitted a standard CAT to my decatted 24v car and it made no difference. If your chasing every last iota of power then maybe worth it.
-
Save your money as I really dont think they make much difference.
-
I think you dont have to have a CAT but that its pretty much a necessity to pass the emissions tests.
