  3. Temp sender is on my list for tomorrow but left it out lol. Harness looks brittle so going to replace anyway :) Ta for advice let you know how I get on It's funny how when hunting down faults like this you always seem to find loads of other little jobs that you didn't even know needed doing pmsl
  4. Hello, Too many threads on this by other users but none I can find exactly match my problem. My g is suffering intermittent missfire and hesitation, the scenario is as follows Starts fine after a few minitues get a slight hesitation then (no particular rev range), if you plant your foot to the floor at this time the missfire is more apparant, then between 2-5 seconds she returns to normal and takes of like a scalded cat. When she's missing I've found if I turn the ignition off then on again the problem again disappears but returns shortly after. What sensors are omitted by the ecu at start up? So far I've changed leads, plugs, dizzy, rotor arm, checked ecu hose (1m long!), fuel pipes checked/ remade off, negative battery wire replaced and digifant control relay. Tomorrow I'm going to swap out the fuel rail, fpr, injectors, wiring harness (off my old/spare engine) and finally the fuel filter. The thing that stumps me though is why is it intermittent? Any suggestions most welcome
  5. could of slipped a tooth on intermediate shaft move dizzy to compensate if that dont work you may have a bent valve
  6. mine has 220k on clock and i've just rebuilt it,you could spend £400-£1200 it depends on how much you want rebuilding really. Don't let the mileage put you off though these cars were ment to be driven after all!!
  7. glad you found it! but make sure that the keyway on the crank isn't chewed up otherwise it will happen again! IIRC the pulleys about £30ish
  8. It may look ok mine did....... you really need to check that the timing marks still line up. see Yans tread here http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?38512-Definitive-G60-Timing-Belt-Setting&highlight=g60+timing On mine the belt had not slipped but the crank pully location pin had been chewed up wich allowed the crank to move not much fortunatly but enough to knock the timing out and sounds very simair to your problems.
  9. sounds like the dreaded crank bolt to me :-(
  10. If their only 27 new i'd go for that ;-)

    relay temps

they will be warm but not hot to touch, i'd get em replaced anyway, poor contacts can reek havock with voltage drop and our cars ecu does all sorts of wierd things with low voltage probs. No there is no "cooling line" to them
  15. i have just accuired a mk3 tdi for the pricey sum of £50 (with £20 of diesel in tank!) 120k on clock, needed to spend another £50 getting through mot. ok its a bit tatty around the edges but it drives like a 50k motor, if i have to this every year or so big deal at least i can keep me G and not have to worry about feul costs rising (for now any way) woth considering
  16. what are the ranges on boost guages? cheers Lee
  17. spade connectors are generally sized ( and colour coded)to suit the size of wire. you will probably need red ones 0.5-1.5mm there maybe a 2.5mm in there too (blue spade) cant really tell form the pic. but do buy fully insulated ones as they appear too be very close to each other.
  18. yep no probs just pm me how you would like to pay
