  5. is this a g60? just doing mine at the moment the worse part is the exhaust manifold studs TBH with correct tools i'd say this can be done in 10 hrs easy (apart from getting it skimmed).
  6. so they can be wired in both series or parallel nice. i am a spark by trade. do you know if the crimps in the plug will pull out? as i could just re-wire them but they seem to be sealed with something from above
  7. Any one know if the fuel rail wiring loom 9sits in plastic assy can be lifted from another digi engine? my local vag (dane chester) says its g60 only and no longer available! :( the wirings all shot on mine very brittle and bare wires showing and touching each other Ta Lee
  8. Wot a nightmare I've had to change stock manifold for a 4 branch header things to remove are 1. o/s drive shaft 2. o/s inner cv joint guard 3. fuel rail 4. inlet manifold not to mention 2 manifold studs sheering off on the head b*****ls!! but it gets worse, their both below the machined face with only 1-2 internal threads showing             so looks like i gotta find right angled drill to drill then use an extractor or head off or engine out. unless anyone else has any other ideas????????

  15. Thats right I just replaced mine as the PO had put one on that was 104cm long and an id of 3.2 made quite a difference higher up the rev band presumably because it wasn't getting enough fuel . (higher revs air flow/mass)
  16. I'm afraid bentley isn't up to much on this either :? just shows an exploded diagram. Have you tried flushing your matrix? (remove both feed and return pipes stick a hose pipe in there and blast some water through it!) i have to do mine soon too not looking fwd to it. :( I think the corrado club of canada had some good write ups on this also. Good Luck

  19. as i understand it the v.s.s. (speed sensor wire) signal goes first to a connector block on back of fuse box then gets split between the clocks and the spoiler module via 2 single wires (blue with white) can someone please confirm.
  20. nice i'll pm you my number ta Lee
  21. thanks for the offer but i know there are at least 4 different c's in my local area see them quite often on the road but always heading in the wrong direction. or i'm in a slow arsed works van that wouldn't pull you out of bed :( ill keep you in mind though thanks

meanwhile back on topic...... has any one got a clue what sort of amps were dealing with here as 25mm wire which is capable of 136A at full load seems a bit excessive? I'm a automation control electrician so perhaps i could make a few kit's up if anyones interested reply (ill post some pics when I've got one done) PS. i wouldn't use crappy speaker wire either I'm gonna use tri-rated it can take 3 times the rated current for a short amount of time and it's rated for use up to 105c . or maybe welding cable for its flexibility..... choices, choices. but defo not ofc speaker cable
