  1. Much appreciated squire. ---------- Post added at 3:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 3:27 PM ---------- However I've just noticed it's in Non-VAG..? Last time I checked a Polo was a VAG group car..?
  2. Seems only to be when using Google Chrome - very odd.
  3. Thanks Andi, advert posted below: ----------------------------------------- For Sale: 2003 VW Polo E 1.9 SDi [9N] Reflex Silver 108,000 approx (will increase as being used daily) MOT’d until Oct ’12 TAX’d until Sep ’12 FSH - folder full of paperwork 2 previous owners [close friend for majority] Cambelt & Tensioners done @ 95k by Saab Technician Just been serviced (Oil & Filter, Air Filter [K&N], Fuel Filter) New front brake pads 2k ago. Not a spot of rust and has excellent paintwork. Minor modifications include: 17’’ Lightweight OZ Alloys with 205/40/17 tyres [plenty of tread all round, home refurb'd in VHT Wrinkle Plus, aren't perfect but very hardwearing] FK Adjustable Coilover Suspension all round. Debadged all round [so no one knows it’s an SDi :)] Front and rear blackened VW badges. Car was bought roughly a year ago from a close friend to be used as my daily. I needed a reliable, economical car for making trips to and from work in Northampton [60 mile round trip]. Prior to my ownership my friend had owned the car for 4-5 years, buying it with a mere 25k on the clock. During this time, the car was meticulously maintained by my brother who is a Saab Trained Auto Technician. So when the car came up for sale it was a no-brainer. Folder full of receipts to back this up. In the time I’ve had the car it’s been absolutely faultless, never letting me down and requiring the minimal amount of maintenance, serviced as and when it required. I’d happily jump in this car tomorrow and drive it across Europe without even thinking about. Averaging between 50 & 60 mpg depending on driving conditions, a full tank [roughly £55] will get you between 400-450 miles. [470+ if you drive super eco]. Group 5 so insurance is very reasonable even if you have minimal no claims. I used 2 years no claims and insured if for a year for around £400 pa. Now the bad points which I must say are very few and far between so I’m having to be picky. Passenger wing and lower front bumper have scrape marks from prior owner’s argument with a wall. Few door dings down both sides, standard shopping car park stuff. Bonnet has started to pick up some stone chips along with lower front bumper, purely from motorway work. All could be rectified for not a lot of money to have a completely mint body and paint. Clutch is quite high but hasn’t worn further since I’ve had it in a year and 15k mileage, importantly it doesn’t slip at all. A recent diagnostic check showed no fault codes however. In summary this is a fantastic daily driver, super economical, comfy for long distance, cheap to insure, amazing reliable. I have a feeling that I’ll look back and regard this as one of the best car’s I ever owned despite it being something I didn’t see myself buying. Pics: Price: £2,400.00 with alloys & coilovers £2,100.00 with original steel wheels & suspension [will require deposit before I swap parts back as ideally I'd like to sell as is] Feel free to ask any questions below. 4. May have one final set of these. Will let you know.
  5. How many you need..? Think I've got a spare head kicking about which is likely to have these in.
  6. Are you after the threaded studs which sit in the head..? The 10mm nuts which bolt it down or the large torx nuts which hold the plastics down on these studs..?
  7. Still getting these despite clearing cookies and cache.
  8. Sorry mate, missed this. As far as I'm aware it was in working order. ABS worked when I stamped hard on the brakes on the test drive. Looking for £20 to clear on this + postage.
  9. You not using the side pieces you've got..?
  10. You need the dipstick or the dipstick housing..? Also what engine do you need it for...? Have a couple of spares.
  11. As title: How does one advertising a Non-Corrado but still VAG car on here..? The link to do so doesn't seem to be present, tried searching but searching for things related to 'cars for sale' just doesn't work. Any help greatly received as I'd like to advertise my daily driver in order to buy a bike. Regards, Stu
  12. Pretty sure that is the remains of the old bush. Despite which, great work Kip. Love the dedication.
  13. PM me some pics if you have them, would love to see it.
  14. I've been mainly experiencing lock up on submitting posts through the fast reply. It goes into that 'will it/won't it' mode with no sign of life for a short time in which you have to leave it & pray somewhat that it'll post. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.
  15. Great set of wheels FYI, really suit Corrado's I think. I had a set minus the centre caps & centre cap lugs, refurbed in Anthracite, looked ace: [ATTACH=CONFIG]67285[/ATTACH] Good price too, best of luck with the sale.
  16. Jay, Got a pair of fronts, a single rear + motor and happy to post if required.

  18. After driving a Corrado for well over 3 years up and down the motorway covering a good 50k in that time I noticed many common behaviours from varying groups of road users. 1) Bikers - I'm relatively sure there is a solid connection with the two wheel'd army. Many occasions in the past I've had 'the nod' from bikers, something which I've since learnt whilst learning to ride myself, is reserved for the acknowledge of other riders on the road. In a few limited situations I've had more than a nod to indicate an increase of speed is requested ;) most of the time I've simply not bothered knowing most bikes will wipe the floor in a straight line with most cars. Overall I've definitely felt an appreciation from serious bikers. 2) - Outside Lane Hogers - we all know the type, large car, poss rep-mobile that despite two free lanes to the left decides the outside lane is 'his/her' lane. Rolling up behind one of these vehicles in the Corrado 99% of the time they spot the car and in a moment of panic or un-timed driving move over. I had one incident where (and this hadas nothing to do with my driving approach) almost freaked out to find me in his rear-view and almost collided with the central reservation before swerving into the middle lane. I think something about a slightly modified front end and a lower 'stance' [read ride height] gives the car a powerful road presence. 3) The Air Cooled Fraternity - never seems to matter the type; Beetle, Camper or Ghia etc always seem to approve. Often indicating a increase a speed for amusement but generally speaking, I've noticed a definite appreciation for the Corrado and its road presence. I could go on all day but those 3 spring to mind.
  19. Do indeed mate. Really need it gone also. Happy to split down for you as well. Make me an offer.
  20. Yep, can do. Just need to finish trimming the item which I'll do either tonight or tomorrow.
