  1. Was very surprised when my daily golf passed MOT today without reverse light working. Tester definitely asked other guy to put in reverse and check the light and didn't say anything when they didn't light up. It's not even pointed in advisory. Was standing beside him but didn't ask him about it was scared he will fail a car. Maybe he didn't notice.
  2. I've broken my last two corrado on parts because of not willing to sell them for peanuts. You might get 1k for it, just try to sell it as it is, if you can't then break it but it's a pain and takes long time.

    VR6 Oil Sump needed!!

57 quid new from ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Oil-Sump-Pan-VW-Golf-MK3-Vento-2-8-VR6-021103601B-/251052708246?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a73e85196
  4. Haha, I'm just to lazy :D For the last 3 weeks in Aberdeen every day been raining so walking, cycling or scooter is not a good idea as you get wet as a dog before you get to my work place. I can see that no matter I will buy fuel economy will be poor. Currently using TDI as a daily and getting around 350 miles of a tank which basically is around 32 MPG Well there is only one solution. I have to stop thinking about swapping VR6 for different car and start using it again.
  5. my maf show avereage 11,7 mpg. My work is 2,5 miles away and when I'm getting there temp sensor is barely up a bit. I'm not going over 3k RPM on his journeys.
  6. Thanks, another dead end. VR6 stays then :)
  7. Still can't make any decisions. VR6 is not used at all due to using so much fuel and I really would like to use some Corrado as a daily car. G60 is the only engine I never had in Corrado, so why not ?? How are the on fuel ?? I struggle to get 200 miles of full tank on my vr6 because I'm driving on very short distance so 1.1 L and 2 cylinder less might be the solution ?? What do you think ??
  8. I don't care about the mileage but I care about insurance which is more than double than insuring S3.
  9. Every day, more and more I'm thinking about getting myself S3 and putting Corrado in garage till I will be able to drive it as I like. Going back on full time education doesn't help making this decision but we will see within next few months.
  10. MOT done, another year on the road. Only one small advisory, slight play in N/S rear wheel bearing which I'm going to replace anyway in near future.
  11. got one but no idea what mileage is on, can check tomorrow.

    vr6 bits wanted

Not sure what the last cover is ?? But wiper motor (will check how linkage looks) and passenger try will do for 40 quid posted.
  13. Is it reconditioned one or just second hand used gearbox, if used don't expect more than 100 quid for it as I sold last two for around this and struggled to sell third one and finally went for 75 quid.
  14. Clifford alarms, not the cheapest one but very good. You can get second hand from ebay for under 100 quid if you patient.
  15. nice one, you have pm regarding payment
  16. They fit just with around 1mm clearance, its enough but wheel balance weights cant be stick inside alloy barrel as you won't turn the wheel then. Should fit the within next couple of months and will see how everything goes.
  17. Sender unit from 2.0 16V Less than 10 quid posted, It's my auction http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Corrado-16V-Intake-Fuel-Pump-Sender-/160790603754?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item256fdde7ea
  18. It's all not tested on the road yet. Arches need to be pulled out because wheels stick a bit but different wheels should clear much better but I like zw1 on a rado. There is still handling question but as many says, you won't try you won't know. Good brake setup is from leon cupra, 4pots + 323mm disc, not to expensive and works very well.
  19. Well I never considered k-sport, they might fit, no idea. The biggest brakes you can fit under 17" are porsche cayenne 6 pot front calipers + golf mk4 r32 334mm front disc. Clearance is just 1mm on my rhzw1 wheels but you need 30mm spacers. I believe that flat wheels like some BBS cleat them better. There is more pictures in my build thread.
  20. There is no chance of fitting 8pots under 17". Did try it and minimum are 18"
  21. I wouldn't be worry abut that, 700 quid for it is nothing. I have MK4 Golf TDI as a daily with 168k miles on clock and engine doesn't miss a bit.
  22. Stick it on german ebay, I got almost 100 quid for my one few months back
  23. New parts added. Need everything go so if you want something and think it's overpriced make me an offer. http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/emu-technic/m.html?item=160791890155&sspagename=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT&rt=nc&_trksid=p3984.m1586.l2649&_trksid=p4340.l2562
