Sad times :(
I remember your car from Stanford, I'm sure you will miss it.
I'm in your picture , sky blue t-shirt :)
Good luck with your future cars :)

So is this Chris Gaskell's old one again ?
-
Sounds like good advice :) thanks Sean

I have thought about getting a machine polisher and all the kit but I would worry about messing it up , would be be nice to get some tips/lessons from an expert,
Would be nice not having to take it to the body shop to do it

So with Stanford Hall less than 2 weeks away I wanted to have a go at my underside floor pan as it's pretty much the only thing that hasn't been touched.
Not a job I have been looking forward to but I can recommend one of these steam machines.
Still hard work but a smallish patch at a time, wire brush WD40 and lots of rags and it's worth the effort, I think !!
New brake pipe clips coming tomorrow :)

Something about twin headlamps, don't think I can think of a car that looks bad with them 8)
-
I like the car a lot, really wanted one years ago, dash is awful though and agree about the wheels
-
I'm actually loosing some coolant too but it's trickling into the passenger footwell so I have all the carpets out too as I'm thinking it's the heater matrix :(:( you could bypass the matrix for the time being (not such a big deal now the warmer weather is here) and see how it goes ?
-
If it is as Dox says you would also expect to be loosing a bit of coolant , and excess pressure in cooling system .
-
Think that is U.S extra crash protection for the knees etc

Cheers Rob :)

Taxed for 6 months since last night so took the car for its first proper drive since the re furb,
Took it to work with me this morning
-
Looks lovely, your hard work has paid off :)

Well I haven't updated this for a while as I haven't done a lot since before xmas, though I did fit my Karmanski roof trims ,happy with them, found the location of that elusive bracket (rad cowling)
I popped the car over to the body shop last week for a little bit of a machine polish here and there just to get it back to its best and managed a bit of waxing and fine fettling this weekend .
Taxing it from the 1st April and looking forward to getting out and about.
Entered in the concourse competition at Stanford Hall on 1st May, can't wait for that

Harsh... but fair :)
I'm going to puncture your air bed just for that!

Really looking forward to this, should be an absolutely cracking weekend! Hopefully the weather is good all weekend, and I can picture BBQ, beers, and the kids all running round playing games whilst us oldies try to get involved and pretend to relive our youth! :lol:Sean, you are a youth compared to me !!:)

Poor you :)
-
Did you view it ?
being so close
-
So did anyone have this ?
-
Nice work Sean, I have a spare crack pipe plug I think, if you want it let me know and I will dig it out. It's at the workshop though so won't be until btw Tuesday :)
