I've chilled a bit too as I used to organise the Scottish region of the mk1 owners club.

 

I want to do more hill walking and cycling as my belly is getting bigger and enjoyed climbing my first Munro last month.

Funny enough I have been doing some cycling lately, used to do a lot but it has virtually stopped over the last few years .

I had similar thoughts when I sold my last car a couple of years ago, got bored with shows etc, I think I was doing too much , soon missed it though so don't do so much now with this car but enjoy what little I do,

A reasonably local show today at Stonor Park, perfect weather in a lovely setting and a bonus that I received first place in class 20 (post 92 standard water cooled)

the Corolla AE86 was a car I always wanted as a young lad , they never drove as well as they looked though.

I thought Matt LB was ok, quite liked the addition of the rallycross mini.

Otherwise Evans was shouty and annoying and disappointed to see the same old tired format and silly challenges .

Will no doubt watch it again next week but will be hoping it gets better.

My mate had an Astra SR mk2, quite a decent car though he had it stolen 3 times !!

Got it back each time in gradually worse state.

He wrote it off in the end.

anyone taken an old battery to the scrappy recently..... any idea what scrap car batteries are worth these days.... I'm guessing 6kg lead

My local breakers gives £3 a battery.

I think those two have been advertised on Pistonheads for ages now, I imagine they are keen to get shot of them !

I have a spare pair of front shocks and springs in reasonable condition, cost of postage might be an issue though as I'm on the south coast.
