Your valve guides could be worn, which might make sense as you said it seemed ok initially. How many miles on engine ?
-
You can just about hear it with ignition on ,engine not running. If you touch it you can also feel if its working with slight vibration. I think it stops air locks forming when engine is switched off & its hot ,as it will run after switching off engine, also heard it helps circulation to heater, not completely sure though

Looking good Craig , As Rams said bearings might just need nipping up, if they aren't noisy. Not too much though !
-
If it was a clutch problem i would expect other gears to be affected, especially reverse. :(
-
Strange one , Fuel pressure regulator ? Low pressure from fuel pump ? has your fuel filter been changed recently ?

Bournemouth/Poole Meet Saturday 20th April
Harrier replied to Rams's topic in Event Announcements & Discussion
Nice to meet some new faces & see some new cars today on a gorgeously sunny day in the New Forest. A very good lunch & a chat was followed by a quick blast to a local beauty spot, with a short stop en-route at Halfords to get some tape to secure my windscreen trim which was trying to part company from the car. Will talk to screen fitter Monday about that ! Another meet in the near future would be great.Rams car is superb & also found my C has a near twin with Subcools Vr, Same colour, spec & nearly same reg. Loving his wheels & arches. -

Ok, the new screen went in Friday & i'm glad to say everything is fine. It was a Sekurit screen as i'd hoped but they couldn't be sure what make would arrive.I also have a top tint now as requested Was also glad to be able to get scuttle trim clips from Vw. So today finished off my big clean up with a coat of Dodo Wax & vacuum interior, & then enjoyed a little drive with a couple of Springtime pics

Well the screen is out without any major problems, however when unpacking the new screen it was found to be damaged, or rather the edge trim was,so the guys have re-ordered another. On the plus side it gave me a chance to clean everything nicely & treat a little bit of corrosion along the bottom edge. Will try again in a couple of days !

Yes, a couple of times though not for a Corrado. They were efficient & reasonably priced
