  3. Ok,thanks for your replys everyone. I have booked myself on the Elsecar show & will look at Harewood or Tatton later on in the year.Looking forward to it !
  4. I am contemplating which shows to attend this year & have just put my name down for CCGB National Day at Castle Coombe & have 1 or 2 in mind that are within 2-3 hr drive but i would like to venture to the North of England for 1 or 2 meets this year as it would be nice to meet some owners & see some cars we dont see down here very often & was wondering which you could recommend ? I would like to attend a lot more than i will be, but weekend passes are limited ! Elsecar looks good.Any thoughts ?
  5. Its fully intact thanks & i will fit it at the weekend. My old one has 2 holes where the alarm ultra-sonic sensor & valet switch were fitted but that system was removed a while back.It must be nice to know that bits of your old car are going to good use & you will get to see it now & again !
  6. Took the C & family out to Brooklands today as hoped & had a really nice day, really glad i decided to put it back on the road.First proper drive with the Recaros & they felt lovely. My old seats weren't uncomfortable but i felt i could drive all day in these without any problems ,bearing in mind the KWs are quite firm also ,they are really supportive. The trip to Brooklands was bathed in sunshine all day.The proper old classics, Bentleys,Jags Rollers etc were displayed in front of clubhouse & a massive variety of nice old & some not so old vehicles were there to look at.We were directed to the banking ,to my surprise which was half covered in algae/moss so we didn't park too high up.They have got a lot of work to clear it off if they plan anything like the CCGB gathering last May, for this year. Cars were still arriving when we left at midday,by which point it was almost too busy.A good day to start the year! Saw 1 other Corrado as we left N reg ,maybe a Storm, not sure
  7. Can you believe after owning 3 Corrados in 12 years i havn't broken a door handle!?!........... yet
  8. Thanks Billzeebub,i used to feel the same about private plates but as you say it helps the car stand out, always thought it helped OSV's look really special
  9. Mot'd & taxed mine today as itching to get back out in it , Usually wait until April ! Looking like a nice day tomorrow so planned a trip up to Brooklands for a classic car meet with wife & boys, good job iv'e not got a busy NY eve planned !
  10. Good work getting heated seat sorted Andy, my illumination for switch doesn't work either & i took switch apart to find a soldered in LED, don't know where to get them from as yet, though it doesnt bother me too much but would like to get it sorted some day
  11. Could i have the tunnel top cover please Kip & do you have the blanking plug where heated seat switch would be please ?
  12. I had same problem, changed the slave first as it was the cheaper of the two.Turned out to be master :-(
  13. Happy Christmas everyone ! Roll on springtime
  14. The snorkel is the 'trumpet' type plastic bit at air intake. I felt an improvement in performance when i fitted my BMC although spoke to Vince at Stealth about it & he didnt think there was any real difference though he reckond most people who had the BMC fitted thought their car felt better for it
  15. Yes,would have loved to have been in mine but its sorned, was in the e46 touring family wagon ,on the track
  16. Spotted this VR at Goodwood this morning at a Pistonheads meet, lots of really nice machinery there, oh for a lottery win!
  17. Once you have got the bug for it its a great pastime, the fun & adrenaline help you ignore the elements.I used to ride a lot pre family life but still get out now & again. The thing i didnt like so much about mountain biking over road bikes was getting everything clean again afterwards, very time consuming all in all.Can cost a bit too when you want the best kit
  18. Could be worth checking that its not just a coolant leak from a pipe or something thats in turn causing the misfire with the moisture in engine bay, might not be a write off just yet ! 8 valves never die ! not much
  19. Aren't storms meant to have colour coded front grille also ? Not seen one with headlamp washers either
