You might find that oily looking fluid is 'just' road salt & muck of the roads.Especially if it washes away with water
-

How much for the centre tunnel cover please,so long as its A1 condition, inc postage -
Well in between Xmas shopping,& putting up lights ,tree & all that + keeping the boys happy, have got the new seats in & done a few other jobs over the last few weekends. The Recaros look great and feel really supportive compared to my old seats. The heating elements work well & motors are all fine too. I've just been trying to buff them up a bit as the new leather is a bit more of a matte finish than the rest of the interior.Im getting there with Autoglym leather cream. Also removed my eye brow trim & fitted a new front grille from Heritage parts, prefer that look now. After using my standard steering wheel this year i fancied my Momo Race back on, for now anyway. Im running out of jobs to do on it this winter so Spring had better get here soon so i can de -sorn & enjoy driving again. Gus & Andy, sorry old seat covers have been disposed of i'm afraid,i think they were damaged during re-trim :-(
-
Spot on looking C, that be !
-
Having spent the past few weekends at any opportunity ,on the drive, in perishing cold tinkering with mine i think its safe to say i like them quite a lot too !
-
Very nice,top work !
-
Well i guess by the fact that no one has posted that they have them fitted ,they are not supposed to have them, not to worry ! Might try some Mk2 Golf ones on there though
-
May be irrelevant but Mk2 golf deffo has them.
-
Can anyone else confirm this ? (sorry to doubt you James) but it just looks like there should be something there & TPS told me today there is a small trim there, though its obsolete of course
-
Dont know ,but if you have about 1-2mm lining from the rivets then would say its in good nick
-
I was expecting it to be there too !
-
That's very helpful thanks, remember you asking same question a while back & i knew it was fairly simple, cheers !
-
Another Recaro related question, does anyone have a picture of where in fuse box live & earth wires connect for seat motors, did a search but nothing came up.Thanks. Daren
-
Ok,thanks for that :-)
-
Began fitting my Recaros today & was wondering if there should be a plastic trim on each runner behind seat ? I only have one each side (tunnel side) Never really noticed before.thanks. Daren

thinking of P/X ing my Storm for an E46 M3 - will I regret it?
Harrier replied to jpowell79's topic in General Car Chat
I would love an M3,only reason stopping me is i still enjoy the Corrado & wife wont let me have both ! As already said running costs of Beamer are way more than C especially if it goes wrong, however i like the fact the Corrado gets so much more attention & the comparative rarity of it.For me i would have silver grey met but would struggle with deciding on manual or SMG.I would probably say go for it but you will miss the C -
Business pretty good thanks Andy, ditto be nice to see your C too .
