Tim used Bentley leather Rams,there was quite a bit left over too so wondering if i can make use of it anywhere else. I haven't sat in them yet Ben but pretty sure i'm going to like them,if not i can just look at them ! ;-)

My christmas present to myself has come early this year as i had a text to say Recaros were ready after re-trim, so nipped down to Poole last night to collect them. I had Tim do them for me who also has done a lot of work for 'Rams'.I'm well pleased with them and hope to fit them at the weekend,Tim is a really nice guy & really enthusiastic about his work. Thanks to Rams for passing on his number.Will get some better pics up when the're fitted.

The smoothed mirrors is something i have spoken to my bodyshop about & i'm tempted,i would also love the Audi handles but that looks a pricey bit of work ! Probably getting my existing handles colour coded though this winter.

Head gasket problems are the main issue with them,aside from general poor interior trim quality & wind noise & water leaks from roof,also seen a lot of corrosion to underside ,suspension & sub frames,couldnt recommend them im afraid although there nice to look at imo. If you want a mid engined car you might be better off with a Mk2 Toyota Mr2 -

The Victor Reinz kit from GSF is pretty good & a reasonable price

Momo steering wheel boss,has 18mm approx, spline which fits earlier Mk 2 golfs & i think will fit a Corrado if the spline sleeve is removed from the column,though that is worth double checking.£25 posted.

Timing chain & tensioner dont usually whine,I would be looking at alternator,water pump & power steering.An easy way determine if its one of those is to remove drive belt & run engine,if noise is gone then you know where to look.As for the ticking from head area could be a noisey hydraulic tappet,might settle down after a few more miles. Hope that helps

Its a vacuum pipe to fuel pressure regulator,no fuel in there

Check all 3 engine/gbox mounts Ben,sounds like maybe the front one & check the bolt hasn't corroded & sheared.
