  1. Its about more than extended arches though
  2. They are the image ones, they are similar in 'style' more than genuine replicas IMO. Compomotive also make a similar wheel, but you can't beat the original and best BBS
  3. Congratulations to the happy couple
  4. Yes 205/40R17 should be spot on on those rims
  5. http://www.dakota-truck.net/TIRECALC/tirecalc.html see here for Tyre Calculator.
  6. If your speedometer has been calibrated for 205/50 R 15 (23 x 8.07 x 15) tires, replacing them with 225/45 R 17's (26 x 8.86 x 17's) would result in the speedometer reading low by 7.61%.
  7. You need to give us more info. Wheel width and offset. As stated the tyres you were supplied with are not the correct size in either rolling radius or width for a Corrado. 17" wheels were not OE fit to a C so there will always be some compromise. 205/40R17 is the safest bet and most accurate for the rolling radius. Any width wider than 205 can lead to clearance issues on the arch or suspension, therefore size, offset and tyre choice together with suspension choices and the consideration of body mods are vital before considering larger wheels. I hate to say it but you should have done the research first. If you give us wheel sizes we can give you a good idea if 205s will fit ( up to 8" they will with a little stretch) and you could ask the supplier to change tyres.
  8. Beautiful. Must be a pig to keep clean with that weather. Corrado and BBS RS splits, a marriage made in heaven.

  10. Sorry, can't do snow and holly.
  11. Azev A in 8x17 ET 30 Look Cool. Too low and you'll need arch work though.
  12. This is getting silly  This is a BBS RA it was fitted to MK2 Golf 16v GTIs and later 8vs. It is distinctly different from the wheels fitted to the Corrado G60 ,note the curved spoke and exposed eheel bolt fixing holes.
  13. Seek and ye shall find http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... highlight=
  14. Looks good, have you thought about the Ronal/ACT LS 7.5x15 ET 25 they look cool with a nice dish too.
  15. Is anyone's car ever truly finished? With even the newest of Corrados turning ten years old in 2005 the Corrado is a car that is obviously going to need on going maintenance (love and affection) but that seems to be the tip of the Iceberg. Lets hear all the different points of view, from people who are determined to keep their cars as standard as possible and also the stylists, the modifiers, customisers and all points in between. Personally I bought the best car that I could find/afford of the model/colour and spec and of course heated leather that I wanted and have kept the car largely standard apart from a Supersprint OE style exhaust system, suspension and wheels ! The styling is complemented (cleaned) by red rear lights and crystal side repeaters and a little colour coding of badges, door handles and headlamp surrounds. Everything else remains stock although I took the opportunity to replace top mounts, bearings, rear callipers, discs, pads and dust guards when the Konigsport coilover suspension was fitted. I'm very happy with what I regard as the finished product and like to think of it as being true to the original spirit but mildly improved in the OEM+ style. So my car is now a 'finished product' as far as i'm concerned, all changes are reversible and the original parts retained. It feels a little strange as in the past I was always finding something new and different to do with my cars and thought of them as constantly evolving projects and never definitively finished. So there will be no body mods, interior changes or the search for more power. For the first time in years I feel more relaxed about my car. Apart from the routine servicing and repairs etc it's complete and I can enjoy the car for what it is, not what it could be.
  16. One of my favourite pics of my Cab, looks moody.
  17. The wheels on my car are indeed the same, they are the RH ZWI 8x17 ET35. Its quite funny that the pics have 3 cars with the same wheels, they must suit the car then. Heres a pic with my BBS rims on so as not to confuse the issue  Now theres 2 with those as well!
  18. Yeh, its a simple job for a bodyshop, some people have even done their own with cans and got good results. The BBS are quite rare and the price reflects this around £1000 without tyres is not uncommon. Supergolfs are currently offering a set for £1695.Thanks.
  19. The handles are the 'lockless' passat rear door handles which I had colour coded Satin Silver.
