  1. OSV

    Sold

    SOLD (elsewhere)
  2. The reality here seems that as the courier left them without handing them over to a signed recipient there was no opportunity to inspect the wheels.. So regardless of who damaged them the first opportunity to report that they were damaged on arrival has been lost. I think it best to establish if the courier's policy requires signatures on receipt, this would undoubtedly be a good starting point,
  3. Stick to the truth not worth a conviction for fraud for sake of wheels

Far nicer wheels out there, ROtiform do done real nice 5 spokes both one piece and splits
  5. I just love the way you go about doing things:thumbleft:
  6. Lovely car and clearly in safe hands, really enjoying reading the thread ( badged grille plea)
  7. Why would you want OE Corrado Recaros?
  8. Well I suspect it won't impact on values so it makes sense to do what makes you happy
  9. Prefer the period correct charm of the Originals but suspect the CS are a superior set, depends on whether you value keeping it 'together' as a broadly stock Corrado or is the lure of track fun the stronger pull
  10. I said a few days ago i'd take the opportunity to reflect on some of the aspects of my ownership of the car. Going back to the very begining I had decided to buy a Corrado to use as a great car that I could use and enjoy everyday. For several years before hand I owned a Golf MK1 Quarttet GTI Cabriolet which gradually went from a fun daily to an over pampered show car. The car went on to win many trophies and was magazine featured but I had become too precious with it and I realised I wanted to get back to simply using and enjoying a car. Well that was how it started and I set out to find the very best Corrado I could find and believe me that was no easy task even 9 years ago. I'll continue with this part shortly but i'm sure you can guess about the 'best laid plans' So I thought i'd start with detailing some of the care and attention lavished on the chassis and engine bay. I'm sure to have overlooked some things but you get the idea. 11. It would have to go if I got an offer around there if my wife saw the offer
  12. Quick phone pic from filling up this morning on the way to All Types, everyone needs a filling station shot. Whilst there is no for sale ad and may never will be, I feel that for the right offer I would now be prepared to let it go. I suspect it would be emotional
  13. Put the RS 301s on, wipe over inner arches and suspension and its looking good
  14. lol, hadn't thought of that, seems reasonable
  15. Well I never did get round to fitting my SP 263 cams and remapped ECU and rather than put them in I have put them up for sale, its a strange feeling as I have never waivered about spending time and money on the car to keep it to the highest standards. With the decision not to fit the cams feeling like a turning point I now feel myself considering whether its perhaps time to let the car go. Over the next days I think i'll post on the thread to reflect on my ownership of what has been my most cherished car..
  16. May be time for the car to go? I'm in Lancashire
  17. ECU is OBD1, not ideal for you but would more than get your money back on it if you consider the price of cams
  18. Brand new unused SP 263 cams £350 Collection preferred or buyer to pay P&P Also available OBD1 ECU professionally remapped specifically for 263 cam application by DG (Dave Dewson) suitable for coilpack VR6 pre-factory immobilser model. Regretably I never got round to fitting. £150
  19. Anyone else going? I know it clashes with CCGB National Day but I can't make that with it being my wedding anniversary the day before. Thinking about having a run out on Sunday
  20. To answer why I own a Corrado rather than why did I buy it the truth now is probably because I already own it. I love the car but my head tells me its time to have a practical diesel estate. I will however probably never part with it because it will never bring the money that makes any sense to sell it, and emotionally the ties are very strong. I only wish I could afford to buy and run another car besides the current daily we share. If I didn't own mine i'm afraid I wouldnt be looking to get another, they are a labour of love if you want a good one and that takes time, commitment patience and money.
  21. Badges are nice but not cheap and are a nice option to have for a change around but always keep the black and silver/gold, not a fan of the flush valves too much trouble for no real benefit in looks or function
  22. Need pics of these two and mine together on the RS, even if its on thread in the first place, classic looks and 301s perfect
