http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Simoniz-ENGINE-EN ... 240%3A1318
this stuff is really good and leave a brilliant finish.......careful with sand blasting, grit goes in every hole, hard to clear out....i just used wire drill bits.....takes abit of time...but worth it.

I did in December but not with a Mk4 golf one. Too late now not doing it again for the sake of it!wat did u use?
-
It was on the knowledge base but the Wiki is screwed at the mo. :(:pale:

Kev's photo makes it look like just two wires so you could trial and error it. If you get it right the coolant light should come on before you fill it, if not swap it round. :)cool, didnt look at it that close lol.....if its two wire......should be easy. lol....can you changed yours?

yep, only lenses and trim are different.so let me get this right the rear plastic and reflector as same on both late and early?......
bob
yep, for the facelift cars the grille was moved forward about 1cm to make it more flush with the bonnet and wing leading edges, the headlights were given a deeper glass and plastic trim surround to bring the light out flush with the new grille, no reason to change the reflectors or light units, so they didn't.
You often see early cars with early lights and retro-fitted late grilles, the grilles stick out from the lights :)
cheers .......gud to know........seeing my reflectors have seen better days, i have found a place near me that does plastic chroming.......might see if they can refurb my reflectors

Yeah one of the 4 x 17mm bolts that go into the cross member. They were stuck solid and one of them ended up shearing half way down the shaft where the thread starts. Problem is the remainder of the bolt is now stuck in the crossmember and I can't remove the bumper until I get it out!great.......i take it the rear ones the same?..... :brickwall:
-
Yeah I was going ok until I snapped that bolt in the cross member, now I need to get the spoiler off to give me more room. You should see the state of the rust behind the bumper, it is shocking, basically a massive hole surrounded by jagged rusty edges. I am gutted!what bolts u snapped? .....the ones that hold the bumper in place......i need to remove my bumper this week sometime....i think i'll soak them in WD40 first then.....

hi guys,
my corrado is going in for a paint in a week or so. I want to remove the underside bonnet sound deading or whateva it (black sponge like stuff), as it is weak and breaking off.
has anyone replaced this with anything? what and where can you get it from, or will it be fine without it?
