Sorry Guys not been checking this thread. Cost wise for the VR6 hoses it would have been in the region of £230 with a 18+ group buy, not including clips and delivery. TBH the guy I was dealing with made it such hard work and wanted me to do the majority of the donkey work I lost my patience with him and I asked for my hoses back. I would suggest contacting someone like Amber Performance and see what they can offer.

Evening, I have a nearly new one currently on my 1.8 16v only used three times in anger yours for £40 if interested.

You should have head gasket sandwiched between the upper and lower chain covers with the engine side faces sealed with your friend instant gasket (or the VW equivalent). Lower chain cover is a box of job unfortunately.

Refiited the head, cams and drive shafts.

You will need to lever the needles very gently with a two pronged implement, I used a dining fork last time I did it as the prong's are quite close togther. Have a look at http://www.dubdesignindustries.com/installation/gaugeinstall.pdf for pics and stuff

Sorry guys but it looks like I am going to have to give up on this attempt for a group buy. It seems that after much mis communication they are only interested in hoses for the VR6 at this point due to fabrication costs and would want 18+ people for a group buy which I reckon would be a tall order. Apologies to those that showed interest but you can but try.

Evening all. Spoke with Viper on Friday and thankfully my hoses arrived safetly. Still no confirmation on prices for either kit but seeing as they offer a coolant kit for mk5 Golfs at £135 I am hoping to see a sub £200 price. One thing Viper did say is that the more people in the group buy the cheaper the kits will become which I suppose is par for the course. Will know more this coming Friday - any more takers ???

Evening all, I have been in contact with Viper Perfomance in regards to supplying a coolant hose kit for my VR6. They currently don't have these in manufactor but by using my original hoses for the tooling they are offering a good deal on the 1st batch produced as long as a group buy can be arranged. I don't have a definite price as of yet but expect it to be cheaper than Samco etc. I can also provide them with a set of hoses from 1.8 16v (not sure if they are the same as 2.0) if any of you valver owners want to join in.
