I was worried before the test... I'm happy enough now. I was interested in doing the test as the cars was lumpy and I wanted to just check the condition. I'm happy enough with those readings tbh... Sent from my iPhone you lemon!

Window Rollers Group Buy: A few sets left
Alex_G60_Fanatic replied to Alex_G60_Fanatic's topic in Forum Group-Buys
Thing is mate I have to order more than 150 rollers in order to get price bellow £2.50 each. There is just not enough demand anymore. If you got the company to just run off 4 you'd be paying £100 odd.... EDIT: sorry that should be 300 rollers (150 sets of two rollers) Sent from my iPhone you lemon! -
Didn't think to look at the Bentley manual but Dannyboy above said 3 bar between cylinders is the threshold... I've got approximately 1bar across them all so I think she's running ok. There's no specific plans for the block as yet tbh... The next big things to get done after the tracking and camber is: service charger secure tensioner pulley full body spray (black magic I think...) New 15" alloys with Yokahama Parada Spec 2 rubber Second hand full size spare for my current alloys (that will become my winter wheels)

I'm currently wearing a fetching pink number with matching laces and saffron soles.

Just a we update... I've got the C booked into the garage for the track rod arms to be changed and the power steering pump to be adjusted with a new belt fitted. In the mean time I have been amusing myself by changing the drivers side seat bolster. Took no more than 20mins and has made a sizeable difference to the comfort and look of the drivers seat. wow that's weird... looks like your HT leads went up. Very strange when your not in the car with the ignition on... regardless, at least the car itself is ok... and you weren't driving it at the time!

Scottish Meet - Calling all Scot's!!

by the looks of the vote i might as well keep it on the 16th... but for 4 folk i'm not sure it's worth it... :( -
If I was getting 10psi i would be throwing the car in the bin as we speak! I'm running a 68mm pulley remember monkey, I'm going to see a higher than normal compression. ---------- Post added at 10:25 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:18 AM ---------- the 3 bar difference surprises me! thats almost 45psi that my cylinder could be out by and still considered to be working fine... :bonk: still It's nice to know the engine "seems" to be doing it's job ok. I was hoping for a higher pressure reading though... might be a symptom of my charger not being quiet so healthy... ] That's what went on dude, Boch Super 4 w6dpo

Just spent 30mins changing the plugs and doing a compression test on the C. I got the following: Cylinder 1 Dry - 10bar wet - 11.75bar Cylinder 2 Dry - 9.5bar wet - 11.75bar Cylinder 3 Dry - 9bar wet - 10bar Cylinder 4 Dry - 9.5 wet - 10.75bar and these are the plugs that came out do you think that the lack of compression on no.3 is something that i should be worried about??

never heard of the horse drawn corrado? was a Scottish specific model -
replace "shovelling" with "forcing" and "school boy" with "school girl" and your pretty much spot on!

the clues in the title... seat bolster as the foam has gone from my drivers side seat. As an aside... That is one HELL of a crotch... David Bowie would be proud

cool... keep the votes coming fellas... I know there was more than 6 folk interested in coming! -
nah... went through the old service documents yesterday. Nothing big has happened. I was going to do a pressure test last night but I didn't get chance. I'll be doing it tonight hopefully, will let you know what I find.
-
I wouldn't say she's running that well tbh... It sometimes feels like one of the cylinders is not firing. But then after driving her for a bit she settles down and gives decent pull. Although I remember her being quicker...but I've always put that down to the fact I know that the charger needs a service. And they are DEFIANTLY metal... They're magnetic... Maybe a remnant from a previously dodgy something that has been fixed in its long past?? But then why wouldn't you clean the sump out then? It's a mystery. I think I'll do a pressure test tonight and change the plugs at the same time.... I'll let you know what I find.

Well now... It's not all good news. Yesterday I got the sump off the car No damage at all from what I can see. Oil pump looked good and oil pick-up looked OK (to my untrained eye) as well. The same couldn't be said for the sump however... Not mangled... but not worth keeping either. A big thank you to EnthusiastOwned™ for giving me his used sump! :thumbleft: So got the new sump on the car topped up the oil and also changed the gearbox oil while i was down there. The car is now drivable again. I still need to change the tracking arms but otherwise i think she's OK! Took her for a we drive to see the extent of the damage to the handling and TBH.... she tracks better now than before the accident! However the camber is now shot and I'm hoping it just needs adjusting... would hate for there to be anything seriously wrong with the hub or suspension. The other news however is worse than the above... after taking the sump off the car I had a look inside... It's full of metal fragments approximately 1-2mm in length (at the largest...) Now... If you couple this to the knowlage that after I drove the car last night she ran at first very lumpy but got better as she got hotter until by the time she was at 70 degrees she was running rather well. Is this a possible sign of something bad that may be happening in my car? I do hope not... :(

I did have a set date of the 16th but only 3 people could come... if the vote goes for that weekend again then I would certainly have no problem! -

I've thought about it and I've decided to open the date up for discussion again... There was only 3 folk signed up for the 16th. use the poll on the first page to tell me what dates you can make! I don't mind doing this if it's the consensus... I had my heart set on a day out at scone with the misses but I'd rather go to a meet. -
You've only had the car for a few weeks! And it's such a nice example! You sure your wanting the vr? Sent from my iPhone you lemon!

nah... just bent the mounting point... And it was a Cineworld car park...

nice guns... I don't have to disconnect the lines though do I ??? I just wanted to leave the belt off while I drove her to the garage.
