can you not just tell them to hold off on the pully? You'll only have to pay for the FULL AMOUNT later??!!!! seems silly to pay TWICE! Or borrow £70 off your mum/dad... That's what i tend to do... :brickwall:
-
LOL If your going big... should you not consider porting to stage 5? and not stage 4 it's only an extra £70 or so... and if your going that way anyway! although, This will defiantly mean getting a custom MAP as per Yan's advice.
-
The SNS chip will should give you decent off the shelf performance for the stage 4 charger and the 68mm pulley but for the princely sum of about £200 DG Autotech will provide a custom map to suit your car. I have said it before and I will say it again, the variances in G60s due to the build process coupled with the age of the engine mean that it is increasingly likely that the 'off the shelf' chips will not work as well as they once did. A custom map will mean you get the best from your G throught the rev range, I know my mods on mine are not the norm (chargecooler, BBM boost pipework) but I was amazed at the difference between the before and after feeling when driving the car. The AFR output is now on the money for best acceleration on WOT (wide open throttle) and is very even, unlike the pre-MAP figures which are up and done like a yo-yo. So simply put my recommendation would be a custom chip and to get up to DG Autotech for it (about 3 hours from Yeovil). WORD :salute:

hey KUR2Y Could you please put me down for a 3 relay loom with the.... wait for it.... THE NON-OEM connectors. After reading the thread in some detail now... I don't see the need so long as the other connectors you do will fit i aint bothered what they look like! :D Also... if it's not to much of a fuss could you have a look into housing the relays into one of these? http://cpc.farnell.com/jsp/search/resul ... 11+1002322 I will obviously pay for any extra bits + faffing about required AND I don't mind waiting for the loom till when ever you get round to doing them as the car is currently off the road. PM me with thoughts on the enclosure if you need to LOVE LOVE ALMUNDO xxx Edit: How do they the non OEM connectors look BTW? I couldn't see any images of them in this thread

was only joking Rob  like Rob says, redtops aren't needed unless your "under fuelling", probably wont experience that with a stock G60 on a smaller pully. Are jabba porting it for you? Edit: sorry, just saw "stage 4 rebuild"
-
Also the power gain isn't as impressive with a 65mm pully... any way, in answer to your question the best thing to do with your G60 is to get Jabba to send it to Gworks ASAP! I've herd some bad stories coming from there via this forum...

My council lock-up was £12 for non-council tenants... sounds cheep to me! but like kerrly said... They can be VERY small. Just ask to have a look before you get it.

Well the material used to make the rollers does have a higher density unfortunately, lets say you have a stock VR6 with no mods. you'll be running 187bhp and (assuming your not a fatty) we'll say you weigh 85kg and the car has a weight of 1240kg that's 141.1320754 bhp/tonne now, the existing rollers weighed 10g with a density of 1.14g/cm3 and the new rollers are exactly the same size but have a density of 1.42g/cm3. That means the new rollers weigh around 2.46g more than the originals! Four rollers mean a total increased weight of 9.84g (0.00984kg) sooo add that all together and you get a new figure of 141.1310273 bhp/tonne Thats a DECREASE in power/tonne of 0.0010481bhp/tonne Sorry pal :( Edit: you could put that burger down though and increase the power to weight ratio! -
