  1. you sound like that boy off that fast show!!! Thats amazing! lol i was paying more for that on a mankey old G60 with no mods and no track insurance at 3rd party only! Fair play! :thumb right: Yeah well chuffed with it, thing is though 2nd car, over 20 years old, 5k limited mileage, garaged, probably one of the cheapest postcodes in the UK to insure in, old git, married, home owner, non smoker etc, still about £50 cheaper than anyone else and the track insurance, agreed value and like for like on mods is better than the other polices too. So bloody close now, if it wasn't for the fact I have to go out and work on the car wearing 7 layers of clothing it would be a lot easier! ahh, don't worry buddy! it can't stay cold forever... anyway, think of the extra power you'll be getting from that lovely dense air!
  2. id expect so, ive had snow and im only as far north as dundee

  4. you know i agree! My ex's little boy jumped in the bk of mine no problem and the leg room was fine for his seat... infact it went in there realy nicely. The only thing holding it bk is the lack of 5 doors!

  10. RIP Rado Glad millermans ok thou... shame about the car but by the sounds of it it could have gone very wrong had he not jumped out of the car when he did.
  11. shit! is he ok? does anyone know how it happened, ect... poor guy. He must be devastated
  12. LOL refund! do you know how much it would cost for him to dispute the money after he's paid? From experience with small claims court enless you've lost in the region of £2000 you'll never get your money back. Getting a solicitor to write a letter is £100! I think you're a bit confused! he's not talking about some cowboy clampers - it was a residents permit and for all council parking tickets there is a right to appeal. just because you get clamped or even towed away doesn't mean that you lose that. wardens may be told to give tickets and let someone else (the owner) ask questions later but councils have to be fair and it is proven that, in the majority of cases, appeals to parking offences are successful. so therefore as yeti says, do not be all impulsive and get arrested and a record for criminal damage by cutting anything off, but follow the normal process and then still call them c*nts once you've got your appeal approved.... so it was a council parking attendant? I didn't realize they used clamps lol. I thought it was some local crappy firm that councils often sub out parking for them to manage. If it is private then I would still hold my ground, my previous experience with them would lead me to say that once you have paid you can complain untill your blue in the teeth but they wont budge, leaving the only recompense to be sought through the small claims court. Which is silly but thats all you have. And i was only joking about the cutting it off BTW! but lets be honest its what you wont to hear isn't it If its the council though then crack on, they have a duty of care being the council and can't just ignore you like a private firm can... still c**ts though! :camp:

  14. here here! just cut the F**king thing off! I've delt with those monkey's before and as far as I'm concerned they're all knobs that deserve what ever the public can give them! If however you wont to be civilized about it, go to citizens advice... and take a picture of the car and the windscreen with the permit in the view and see what they say. I'm sure you have rights, but the second you pay the money your agreeing to their terms and your stuck... hang in there! Fight the power! :salute:
  15. i wouldn't worry mate.. those Germans can afford it with there booming economy an all!
  16. norty! Try taking a wire brush to the nozzle at the bk. Its sits on the joint of the washer arm (where the washer turns) Or better still, remove it and give it a good clean. They often get blocked so that may be the problem. After that i would check the motor on the bottle, can you hear the motor working when you activate the washer? If it is working then just leave it on for a while and get a mate to check to see if anything comes out. My washer takes about 30-45 seconds to get the liquid to the back of the car but i think thats because i have a leak somewhere down the pipe run :(
  17. do you not get any water through then? It does take a while to get back there from the engine compartment
  18. tbh... Apart from the fact it takes 2 years for the water to get to the rear wipers, there isn't anything wrong with the existing set up is there? The one bottle works fine for me. If i was to attempt to mod anything to do with the washers id try to get the water coming out the top of the rear window instead of popping out the whiper like it does... Spraying the car behind me. Although, Its quite amusing when your in a car park! i can spray the ppl walking past with little jets of foamy water
  19. mine has just the single bottle with a two way pump. Might make a good mod thou... where would you put it? next to the existing in the engine bay? Do golfs have these? cus you'll need to sort out the wiring loom at the same time, would be nice just to swap over the looms.
  20. black bk ground with red txt and yeh, i wonted them to just say G60 in the correct font. All i need to do then is get a 58mm blank to fix in the cover and bobs your tea pot. could you give me an idea of cost? they'll have to take the whole cover just to get the badge! anywho if im making them myself then there wont be a problem with sourcing more  I wont a cheep solution untill i can afford some new bbs alloys and i also wont something a little different, not just the usual VW logo like every one else
  21. that would be SOOOO helpful! do you think vinyl would withstand the salty seas of the winter motorway?
  22. std! nah kev, bespoke is the name of the game! the center caps are 58mm btw
