  1. if you do powder coat would you drive up to scotland for the day...
  2. yeah... so the water has already gone through the process of rapid expansion due to cooling (at 0 degreesish depending on the salinity of the water)... if anything was going to break surely it would be at the point the water freezes? the way the previous comment was written it sounded like he was describing the rapid expansion of frozen water AFTER it had melted... :?
  3. id like to see some evidence to that effect please. I know water expands when it freezes but not when it thaws!
  4. Nah.. no knocking me off this league. Ive already lost my strangle hold on the Tuesday lot! I cant take another defeat!
  5. im gunna rip you to shreds in the next race buddy... just whatch me
  6. i resprayed mine in silver and it looks fine, better than weather washed grey. the badge should just pop out with a little persuasion, makes it well easy to spray
  7. did you forget to send yourself a PM? I'd chase that if i was you... dont want you not paying yourself
  8. you council workers :nono: :nono: :nono: FOR SHAME![/quote:3riive6x] Haha, nice Alex, your rage is noted! Lets not brow beat all council workers tho, they don't all have 6 garages. Or do they?!![/quote:3riive6x] if they ain't using garages they're nicking the wood out off them! Or the tools, or white goods or equipment or driving around in vans with no where to go... And when you do catch them working they all have a van EACH... 10 vans on one small street to replace a broken fence or something :bonk:
  9. what's the news on the car mate? still spluttering? have you taken the leads off and dried them off in the house yet?
  10. indeed you do! and he did quite well for you. 2nd place, I'll update the table tonight
  11. did the filter look like it had "streaks" in it or water marks? is it still missfiring? take one of the leads off at a time to see which plug is missing. do you have a boost pressure meter? might be useful to see if you have lost a seal, piston ring ect which may have been caused by water in the chamber. About £5 from Halfords. TBH dude, if you started her up a few times now over two days in a row and there is no obvious oil leaks, no more milky residue (although you need to check the dip stick not the cap... Should get BLACK all the way down the sump, any frothy browny white and its bad news) and no other symptoms other than the misfiring id assume its the ignition circuit. the wet start is fab, just spray it everywhere. Im sure it will all turn out right :salute:
  12. ahhh dude, you know its said in love! :notworthy: anyway... while youve been writing that ive been writting you this... go get some wet start from halfords if you can, dont use WD40, it will just float about on top of the water... then remove the leads and plugs and check that the plugs are dry!!! last thing you want to do is run your car with water in the pistons as water does not compress. As for the oil how do you know you have water in it? do you get a milky residue on the dip stick? what colour is the oil? If you water in the oil id check the puddle didn't cause a crack in the block or something, otherwise it may point to a more serious problem that you haven't noticed until now... :pale: anywho, after the plugs are ok put them bk in and take your air filter out and dry it, and with the filter removed (and air box) run the engine... if you get any white foamy crap shoot out then stop the car quick and let it rest in a warm garage over night... and call the repair man :( if however it looks good and there's no milky shit coming out, pop it in the garage over night and take the plugs, leads caps and coil (if you can be bothered) with you into the house and put them some where warm for a few hours. then put them back on and spary them all with wet start. If that doesn't cure it not much will
  13. HA HA! Edit: (in the voice of Nelson from the simpsons...)
  14. yeah, but you'd cover your engine in talc.. :? try WD40 first. It wont last long as a fix but it will tell you if it is just the belt slipping
  15. Haha no your not got plenty on there way :D YAY! i thought you might have ordered only what ppl had asked for. Can i pay you now or shall i wait till you have them "in stock" Monsieur?
  16. am i to late to get 2 of these babies?
  17. thats a good point... where the belts over tightened? might have worn a bearing out on a pulley or something
  18. i dont like that fix... seems lazy and im unsure what would happen if it gets into your barrings, alternator ect. Also i find it difficult to not get it EVERYWHERE! you'll spend ages wiping it up afterwards IMO the best way is to check the tension on the belt and if thats ok hold a lithium grease-stick against the belt while the engine is turning until the squeak goes. You can get belt dressings as a aerosol spray but i would't use that as it can leave a sticky residue. hope that helps!
  19. No... its just you cant handle it my sweet! My S class C is a bit of a handful... but i can drive it :shades:
  20. we change the tunings every week to suit the track... what track you tuning for? yeah, i mean you dont wont straight line speed when your racing Fujmi Kaido do you. Each track requires subtle set-up changes
