  1. OMG what retards... why jump out! WHY! and why that boy didnt just put it in gear and drive down the slope god only knows! oh well... live and learn. Thats if they did live. The last few seconds seemed a bit touch and go weather he would fall down under the car!
  2. that pie meant more to me than you could ever know Ruddy pie![/quote:2sw6w1j8] you no likey my pie?
  3. not much snow where i work im afraid Photo0176.jpg[/attachment:3a2u9x0m]
  4. i had that happen to me at work :( Same door same position. Ever since then i always park miles away and walk... rather than have my rado with dents and crap. I took the door off mine and beat it out. Trouble is with the bend in the metal you never quite get it all out so you have to sand and fill it afterwards with some Ipon 38 or something to get a truely smooth finish. You may be better off looking for a cheep second hand door. i would have done it myself but i was trying to do it on a shoe string
  5. i knew i shouldn't have left you to post on the forum kris....
  6. so what you saying is that you need to pull the wee eye through the hole once its well lubricated ensuring not to tug on the fat blob.... :norty:
  7. im 1.13.4 in my mind :bonk: in reality i have no idea as i haven't had a proper go on that track yet
  8. hmm i could well be, the grill looks about right. Cool vid BTW
  9. i was tempted to try with the wheel but im useless at it! gunna give it a few weeks i think before i work up the courage
  10. I agree, even the ones most exposed to engine heat last a good 10 years with high mileage. Another option though is something like the silicon off-the-shelf lengths and elbows that SFS hoses sell, most are around a tenner and even the most complex bends can be replicated with regular and reducing elbows with alloy connectors, you can also go for black if you want to roughly match existing OEM hoses. that would win my vote! im all for cheapness!
  11. worst would be head gasket if you let it run to long with no coolant but I wouldn't jump to conclusions. check the oil using the dip stick, if it looks creamy or frothy then thats bad news... if not then open your water bottle, start your engine and give the bottle a sniff, if your head gasket has gone you should smell exhaust in the coolant, if thats a no top up the coolant replace the cap and let the engine get up to temp, then let the engine cool until you can squeeze the hoses easily (low water pressure).open up the water vessel again and see if there is any frothy, milky crap floating about or rainbow patterns over the surface. If not then just chillax and pray its just a couple of hoses that needs replacing
  12. lol! quite a difference! why anyone would pay that for a few rubber hoses is beyond me!
  13. OEM pipes are expensive, very expensive, if you're talking about a full set. Cheaper to buy performance ones if you want to replace the whole lot in one go. realy? I thought you could get each hose for about £5?? or am i talking nonsense.. edit: i just looked and the longest hose is going for £6.50 from Volks apart. the short one near the LHS is £3. and a new rad is £38. Dunno is they are after market or VAG parts. Still.. could be worse
  14. if your doing this put a VERY small amount of fairy liquid in the water, you'll see the bubbles before you see steam. just make sure to empty the water befor you top her up with coolant. Detergent isnt known for its cooling or anti freeze properties!!
  15. was there any water coming out from under the car? any steam in the engine compartment?[/quote:20kd6vdx] Hi Alex Didn't really look into it that much but when i popped the bonnet there was steam coming from the lower part of the engine, say between the rad and belts. I just threw a load of swear words at it and drove 0.2m back home.[/quote:20kd6vdx] either a busted pipe or radiator mate. I wouldn't drive her unless you need to. Running out of coolant even in winter isn't a good idea. just pray that its a pipe and not the rad. Set of OEM pipes isnt that much i dont think
  16. that's what worries me... the water had to have gone somewhere... unless the tank was RELAY low to begin with and the water in the bottle just sat there until the water pump was switched on. Tis a worry :( hope you find something simple mate
  17. indeed... lack of anti freeze could mean a cracked rad... hence the lack of water in the bottle. best get it looked at IMO
  18. was there any water coming out from under the car? any steam in the engine compartment?
  19. that was lucky!I only got bk from England last night, i could have missed a shot at third
  20. by the way, we are still a man down on the full 8 players and we have only driven one race so iff anyone feels like joining in and thinks they can commit to every tuesday night then by all means let me know
  21. Ok chaps... tis been a long and cold Christmas, hope you all had a fun time! :) This is just a little announcement that racing resumes on the 5th! THATS TOMORROW if there are any problems with ppl not being able to make it please let me know. Otherwise i will see you all at 8pm  toodlepip
  22. i could sell you my tuning set up if you like?[/quote:15w507le] How would that work? Will I need to buy points or something.....I've been avoiding that so far....[/quote:15w507le] no no.. you use the credits you get in the game to buy things. Ill upload the set up to my storefront tonight. Then you find my storefront and download it. It'll cost you a few thousand credits. Bare in mind though, I am by no means the fastest person out there... also you cant change any set-up that you purchase. so you wont be able to tweak it for each race, its up to you
