Saw me a Black C with speedlines and crystal rears. Think it was a 2 litre but didn't get a good look at you. It was Sunday afternood (about 12.30) in dundee at the tesco off the kingsway near camperdown park. its the rado's or the car companies mate. In the interest of protecting long term jobs the government has chosen to promote new car manufacture. Trouble is the second the scheme is gone car sales will plummet again.

do they HAVE to "scrap" the car? i know when you part exchange at a garage they sometimes re-sell the cars at auction

that car doesnt look worth the hassle. Get yourself another thousand notes and get a nice normal VR6 (not a storm). Cheeper to insure and some come with fancy extras you didn't get in the Storm

Ive just secured a lock up through the Council for £40pcm, no power (though it does have a street light outside :norty: ) and enough room for my rado, tools and even a bench :grin: have you applied with your local council for a garage? the waiting list is free...

It might be a quirk but its damn annoying :lol: well that depends... i used to get it every time i turned right the petrol would go up. As long as i never turned left i would be ok for petrol! :grin:

is this not just a common thing with older cars? As you brake the petrol sloshes forward and triggers the sender to read a higher petrol level? then when you accelerate the opposite happens. Every old car i have ever had has done this and i thought it was just a quirk of having an older car?

Needless to say I was super-p*ssed off. I've never had an accident or even a speeding ticket, yet some twonk in a 4x4 demolishes my boot, drives off, writes off my car and I lose out! The insurance company said you can only have a maximum of 5 years, depsite me having 7, so when they wrote it off they took it off the 5. And there was nothing I could do as their system was unable to acknoweldge me having any more NCB than 5. I'm not insured with them anymore. My insurance was over a grand last year because of that. last night i went to look at this lock up to store my c in. Needed to drive the Corrado there to see if it would fix or not. And with no starter motor, radiator fan and a knackered lambda sensor i was a little worried id get stranded. But after a quick push start down a slushy, icy road she fired up (even with being stored outside for over a week in -20 degree temps!). Quick check to see if i had any water leaks and i was off to the duel carriage way. All i can say is that every time i get out of that car i miss it. And my polo (which i like) feels heavy in the steering, high up, un-responsive, sloppy and wobbly... Even with all the problems my C is suffering from she still feels like a new car. By the time i reached the lock-up i was close to over heating (slow traffic), had sticky hands from my manky steering wheel and a faint smell of exhaust from the air conditioning reminded me of the new manifold gasket i was needing. And i couldn't have been happier to be driving her again :luvlove: needless to say, i took the scenic rout bk to my flat in the evening

yeh that sucked, but dont worry, all those who didnt finnish the race (TWO PPL DROPPED OUT IN THE END) will get points awarded according to their fastest lap times recorded while they were racing. So you haven't COMPLETELY missed out.

6"2 for me as well, hence the head to roof lining problem on the standard seats. If you can wait until BVF in July I might have the car with the recaros in on the road, I can always pick you up if you fancy going. ooo yes please! I'd love to go for a drive your famous G60! sharing petrol always helps you as well! :grin:
