  1. Dont you guys think that sometimes a car can perhaps have done too little miles?? If you know what I mean. I find alot of people have a real fascination with getting a car that's done a little miles as possible no matter how old it is. Say this car had perhaps done 10,000 and was 10 years old. Do you think that may have done more harm than good?? I am not saying low milage cars are not good, I just think that often other factors are overlooked when considering buying a car.

Maybe the start of a big debate brewing

totally agree mate, my parents bought a 1993 mercedes SL500 with 50k on the clock, they had it a month and had alot of problems with the engine mamagement, needed about £2000 work done on it!! it was done to its relative low usage! good quality cars need to be driven they live for big mileage :D

  2. welcome to the forum, most of your questions will be throughly answered by using the search, type in g60 vs vr6 for some rather hetaed debates

the main thing with the g60 is the supercharger will need rebuilding at least every 60,000miles (thats if nothing goes wrong before that!!) most of the cheaper g60's will need a rebuild, when the charger is upgraded it is quicker than a standard vr6, but in stock form the vr6 is the quickest of the range. as for the prices, some vr6's may go for 9k,some maybe for 3k!! 5.5/6 is enough to get a decent vr6, beware that most of the cheaper corrados will have in excess of 100k on the clock, dont be put off by this as long as the car has a good history, vw's eat a 100k for breakfast!!! A really good G60 will probabble be about 5k tops and thats with a decent amount of charger work!!

The RB5 is a nice car, ive only had the pleasure of driving a P1, I thought that was awesome by the way!!!

  3. good choice, i would of went for that, evo have one on fast fleet (long term test). as far as i can remember they havn't had one problem with it. i remember their SL55 and Audi RS6 having alot of problems. says it all really

  4. some idiot drove past me a few days ago in a seat hatchback with flames coming out of the exhaust. looked absolutley stupid  , fair enough if the car is so powerful that flames come out of the exhaust naturally, but making them come out is just plain daft

  5. the display isnt the brighest in the world so your 'dim' display is probably normal, sorry if i insult your inteligence but theres a little switch near the light switch that dims/brightens the dash!! try rolling that up!

  6. myne only gets up to about 75-80, but my radiator fan is always on, i havnt been bothered to fix it!

turn your ignition on and have a look to see if the fan comes on straight away, if it does theres ya problem

  7. that clicking sound together with the central locking not working means that the central locking pump is broken. its in the boot under the carpet trim on the right hand side. its in a large sponge case, disconnect that, if the window still goes down it will probably be what 'gareth' has said. the central locking pumps are quite expensive from the dealers, but i think you can use a pump from an audi, cant rememeber which one though?!!
