Sometimes the conductive rubber strips move from the board causing the display to fail. You can remove, clean and replaceYeah this happened to me Hassan, when I took it apart to go back to OEM green. The MFA is fine , but the rubbers moved on the other screen, I tried so hard to get it all slotted in nicely, but I ended up with said screen very slightly less brighter than the MFA one .

And you DIDN'T decide to restore the storm? *Wagging finger* shame shame shame..... (I'm kidding of course.)Lol. It was in a terrible mess . Hit from behind, then pushed in to the car in front .
-
Mine is one of them . My leather came from a storm that was being broken around 7 years ago.
-
Yes, but as an option - the heated leather is listed under "options", the standard features lists a "velour seat trim". The buyer would have ordered the leather heated seats as an additional option at the time of placing the order. There would have been a separate price list with this brochure. This looks like a US brochure as it has cruise and aircon listed as standard.
Yep no Corrado came with leather as standard other than the storm or the G60 Jet and the campaign.
-
The leather with cloth inserts are US spec - also seen on Canadian cars. They were also an option in Europe. If you can find a part# on them it will be easier to track them down. There's no such thing as "Storm seats" - they were just standard heated leather, either black or beige. Recaros, in leather, cloth, heated/electric or not were an additional option and cost a lot more, but were never shipped from the factory as standard on any variant.
Yeah, I didn’t mean storm seats , I was just talking in general.
-
Wait what? My 93 US rado has heated seats... from the factory. But they're all leather.Yep . So when the original owner bought it , he upgraded to leather seats as an extra . Or someone has fitted them before you .
-
Storm seats and if you had the dough at the time of purchase to upgrade were the same . All leather, but the storm seats were heated from factory. You don’t often see these seats your right. I’ve seen them in American Corrado’s. maybe they were an optional extra too?.

Personally I think it would be great to have both the forum and the CCGB together.

My car was repainted in 2012. I paid £2,500 with no vat . As said I’ve spent another 3k two years ago because of the damage caused by the body shop removing the windows . They scratched the metal cutting them out , but did not treat these areas . Therefore 5 years later the body had rusted from the inside out .
-
Yeah the pics are on here too, but probably can’t be viewed at the moment. She’s currently on Koni’s . I like the ride height and they are not rock hard . I’m too old for hugging the weeds and feeling stones under the wheels lol . The alloys are compomotive’s , bought in a forum group buy in 2012 . Thanks for the compliments.
-
Yes it was mate . Things are slowly coming back to me now (I’m getting on )lol. The rear bumper had spidering in the paint so that was done as well.
-
I paid 3k for the roof to be cut 4” back from the screen .
The usual rust by the rear wiper .
Bubbles on the screen edge of the boot lid going up towards the roof on both sides
The body work was cut out of both rear windows .
There was other stuff as well but without looking at the receipt I can’t remember. The price for removing all the glass removal and refitting and new front screen seals was inc .
Edit. The car had a full detail as well .
-
Great news , thank you .
-
Nice spot . I saw this on the CCGB page today as well .

I suppose in a way your right Kev.
Anyone that’s been here for 10 years or more knows the value of the forum, newbie’s will not .
I’m 50 (just ) lol , I still have FB , but there’s a fair few on here that don’t and will never have a FB account, some of these are very knowledgeable, so it would be a shame to loose them. I suppose we all are in a way though , you don’t own a Corrado for 11 years or more without gaining knowledge and can help people out . FB is good for quick answers but there’s no way of looking back for answers like the wiki we have on here . Yes things are quiet these days . I really hope the forum gets back on track and the photo situation gets sorted .

This was one of my concerns when I spoke to a company about it Si . The cost of selling them at a decent price is difficult because the batch has to be large .
-
Welcome along and congrats on another corrado. I would check the fuse for the gear shift light , then check the bulb . I presume it has a strip of polarised film like the dash does . This could be worn . You can buy the film in small strips and cut to size . As Bill said though someone with an auto will be able to advise you more .

I’ve just re read your post Storm. Cutting up the original, that doesn’t sound good!. It can’t do any harm for me to send the sample part, they may come good .
-
Thanks for the reply Storm . I have to admit the lady I spoke to was not sure about the metal insert .
-
Afternoon chaps and ladies . I’ve been enquiring today about the window scraper manufacturer. I don’t want to step on anyone’s toes though. The company are happy for me to send my brand new part to them , which is the passenger side . This according to them can be flipped on the 3D machine. They will then give me a costing for a mould and manufacture . The cost of the mould is the expensive part . Just thought I’d let everyone know and your thoughts please .
Kind regards
Rob

Ok chris , thanks .

Without trawling back through the thread for the answer, are we trying to build are large list , so classic will make them or has someone found a company that will make them ?.
-
I can’t speak for the products above as I haven’t tried them, other than the C4 . I was told though as a general rule , that if plastic or rubber is faded to much nothing will bring it back .
-
Interesting. I’m looking for a decent product as well . C4 did nothing for my plastics .
