Mate ......don’t get me started!.

Good to hear you will be back on the car soon Sean and it’s great the house is done or nearly done . My son is dead set on joining the forces next year . He’s just come back from Okehampton army base , he loved it.
-
Hi Sean , where did you spring from lol. It’s been a while . Have you been on board for a while ?. Yep certainly worth considering a garage . This should be the last of the rust now . I’m not happy about it being on the drive all year round , I will look into a garage in my area .
-
Thanks Si . I’m going to change the colour coded number plate holder as well and fit the one sprinter has had made . I presume that’s the ones that are on eBay?.

Up date .
The T4 works van went straight through the MOT . Great no money needed to spend on it . The VR will be going in to the body shop in January, that’s the earliest time Resto can fit me in . I’ve given them a long list . Not a lot of body work as they did it all last year. It’s just the rear sill and attention needed to the battery tray really. The rest is small touch ups and new trims n bits .

Any uk spec left Chris ?. I’ve got your PayPal details.

In the early 90s I bought my first flat . A woman that lived in our block was a sales rep . She used to go back to Ireland at Christmas and let me have the use of her 325i . I loved it , great car .

Do not you think that the world went crazy many years ago? Look at all the existing local wars, state regimes in African countries, and above all look at modern America. We all live in debt and are totally dependent on capitalists.I agree the world has gone mad . I’m 50 now and have seen a lot of changes . Mostly for the worst. You wouldn’t want a communist state though would you .

Me too Keyo . I love my period cassette holder but the gauges would be fantastic. You can’t really go wrong when looking. Apart from remortgaging the house you can tell by the shape of them .

Don't think this even works anymore Rob.Great . It’s a pain in the arris not being able to post pics .
-
Ha ha - photo is not attached or held on the forum, it's on a website somewhere else and you can use tags in your post to point to the location of the picture and it will load automagically. However, some sites taka a dim view of linking to their images...I may have to resort to copying and pasting off my Mac again to put pics up .

Say that again in English lol .

Sorry I forgot to add . Nice to see you back Mr Bacon .

How much does it cost to run a forum? Perhaps a few of us could take it over and move it onto a better, more modern platform? That would be good . Not that I want to interfere with any current mods n stuff. I’m a little worried about the forum though. It’s such a great place for info and the people on here a good bunch .

This forum cannot go down !!!.

Yes it’s only cosmetic. As the screen is bonded .

Hi Rob yeah they were made by Chris (SPRINTER53) a member on here, I think they're acrylic glass or something, Chris has said we need to use LED bulbs only, as the OEM standard bulbs will distort or melt the acrylic glass.I purchased a set from him late last year, and they are great quality, and look just like the original lenses.
But I think members/owners on here tend to prefer the OEM glass one's, to the acrylic replacements. Plus it would be handy having the compete fog light plastic surround assembly unit, as most are becoming brittle now after 24 plus years.
To be honest I'm in agreement with Fendervg I'd be happy paying up to £200 for a new fog light plastic surround assembly unit, like I say you can purchase a new one from VW Classic Parts, but it's only the one side that's available, it's been like that for years now, VW unfortunately just aren't interested ?
But if they did reproduce them they would sell out I'm sure, just like any other rare obsolete item/s, as long as the price isn't too high,
If VW aren't going to help or at least look in to this issue, then we've got no other option but to help our selves, and with great members like Chris (SPRINTER53) and DAVE16V, JIM, plus everyone else who've helped over the years, getting parts 3D scanned, producing parts out of stainless, making moulds for items, or buying in upgraded headlight switches.
It's about working together as a team to get the problem/s solved, which is why this forum is so important and the back bone to owning a Corrado.
Si :salute:
Well said Si .

What was the problem with the ones that someone had made , wasn’t it that they were made of plastic or something?.
-
Nice one Darren , thank you.
-
Any recommendations please . I’m looking for a company to sort out my leather steering wheel.
Kind regards
Rob

Good news you have decided to keep her Keyo .
-
I’d be up for a set .
-
It’s been a while since I did it . I think the screws are behind the head unit , heater control facia , cig lighter and maybe the blower vents . All these pull off and out . You will see the screw heads . I’m sure someone will correct me if I’ve missed any . Be careful of the main facia it’s a little fragile.

Sorry to hear your selling Keyo . But needs must I suppose. Glws it’s a lovely car .
