  1. Hi Sean , where did you spring from lol. It’s been a while . Have you been on board for a while ?. Yep certainly worth considering a garage . This should be the last of the rust now . I’m not happy about it being on the drive all year round , I will look into a garage in my area .

  2. Up date .

The T4 works van went straight through the MOT . Great no money needed to spend on it . The VR will be going in to the body shop in January, that’s the earliest time Resto can fit me in . I’ve given them a long list . Not a lot of body work as they did it all last year. It’s just the rear sill and attention needed to the battery tray really. The rest is small touch ups and new trims n bits .

  3. Do not you think that the world went crazy many years ago? Look at all the existing local wars, state regimes in African countries, and above all look at modern America. We all live in debt and are totally dependent on capitalists.

I agree the world has gone mad . I’m 50 now and have seen a lot of changes . Mostly for the worst. You wouldn’t want a communist state though would you .

  4. Hi Rob yeah they were made by Chris (SPRINTER53) a member on here, I think they're acrylic glass or something, Chris has said we need to use LED bulbs only, as the OEM standard bulbs will distort or melt the acrylic glass.

I purchased a set from him late last year, and they are great quality, and look just like the original lenses.

But I think members/owners on here tend to prefer the OEM glass one's, to the acrylic replacements. Plus it would be handy having the compete fog light plastic surround assembly unit, as most are becoming brittle now after 24 plus years.

To be honest I'm in agreement with Fendervg I'd be happy paying up to £200 for a new fog light plastic surround assembly unit, like I say you can purchase a new one from VW Classic Parts, but it's only the one side that's available, it's been like that for years now, VW unfortunately just aren't interested ?

But if they did reproduce them they would sell out I'm sure, just like any other rare obsolete item/s, as long as the price isn't too high,

If VW aren't going to help or at least look in to this issue, then we've got no other option but to help our selves, and with great members like Chris (SPRINTER53) and DAVE16V, JIM, plus everyone else who've helped over the years, getting parts 3D scanned, producing parts out of stainless, making moulds for items, or buying in upgraded headlight switches.

It's about working together as a team to get the problem/s solved, which is why this forum is so important and the back bone to owning a Corrado.

    Si :salute:

    Well said Si .

  5. It’s been a while since I did it . I think the screws are behind the head unit , heater control facia , cig lighter and maybe the blower vents . All these pull off and out . You will see the screw heads . I’m sure someone will correct me if I’ve missed any . Be careful of the main facia it’s a little fragile.
