  1. Wow .....yeah that sounds like way to much i got a G60 Throttle cable for £33 inc vat last June from the dealer
  2. An amazing british car to see on the road ...... I saw one on the M11 late last year in silver i was in the G60 cruising to work behind it at around 70 until the road cleared and he floored it obviosly! i gave chase (to no avail) to over a ton then I ran out of steam lol ... one thing i did notice was that drivers rear light was constantly flashing and cutting out which made me chuckle , good old british engineering also saw one in Late june last year in the way back from a drag meet at Shakespear again in silver, i noticed that it was running no Reg plates atall so may have been a test run maybe ? as they were only released for sale around then .
  3. G60 is the rarest model holy crap(by a large margin) ??? mine is a keeper and soon to join the sorned G60 bunch for some resto work over the crappy weather... VW Corrado is becoming a very rare site on the road now, last volks meet in camridge i went to i was the only corrado there in NOV and bofore that it was me and Abdul's (ice violot) 16v in OCT which was stunning on schmid Lines... personally i like being the lonly corrado on the road i always think everyone else looks at me with green envious eyes as they are very good looking and sound wicked...
  4. yeah ide be internested in some for a G60 deffo
  5. Very tidy mate i like it... looks to be quite an original G you got there with the orignal BBS RZ's you got much planned for it ? service, general health check ect? as for chargers you cant really go wrong with JMR http://www.johnmitchellracing.co.uk/ or JabbaSport http://www.jabbasport.com/ both company's been rebuilding chargers for years good luck
  6. Over the last couple of months ive had to replace a few of my coolant hoses and its pretty much the case that the rest are on their way out so i'm going to buy one of the samco hose kits and just replace them all while the car is off the road this winter. ...... where is the best price ? ive seen them on ebay for £207 free post i think also looking to hear from anyone who has fitted this kit and pics if possible The hose which goes from the lower right hand side of the block then travels behind the block is split .... is this leading to the heater matrix ? im guessing its gonna be a right sod to get at ? should i replace my heater matrix while im there? just looking for some advice really before i take the plunge cheers
  7. Its here if u wanna read it http://s1116.photobucket.com/albums/k568/StewartG_G60/ I guess this stock Intergalactic millage G60 making it into a mag and that lovely green 35k VR6 storm not making it has really ****ed off the VR camp lol but seriously it's still good to see stock Corrado appreciation even if its a bit dilluded.....
  8. Its not really about the millage tbh and its in very good hands and being kept stock and still running its original everything...... if thats not a good find i dont know what is
  9. yes scanned the pages ready.....but how can i get big media files on here ? as the text is gonna be too small to read
  10. I was reading through the PVW at tesco last night and there is a 6 page article on a barn find totally stock mint G60 (so i brought me a copy) It was nice to see some appreciation for a standard Corrado in a somtimes ridiculs modded car mag lol there is so much history for the car documented and its now owed by one the Phrim guys and seems to be in good hands anybody else read this ?

    Bbs rz 15"

Ive got a set of these BBS on mine and i would say that i prefer them to the orginal G60 BBS RZ's The BMW Cente caps look much better than the original G60 BBS RZ's picy http://www.servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=2&u=16915711
  12. £500 is bloody cheap well im pretty sure your not the only one who has had a rocky start to corrado ownership lol ..... we all have our moments looks good though and the wheels suit the car, has the car got any extras? exhaust ect?
  13. I think you should.......all corrado's need an oven
  14. Well not that im complaining with the winter closing in but the corrado's heater are really toasty arnt they? or is this just mine ?..... among friends my heater is known as as "THE OVEN" It's become a joke to see how long you can last in the oven without tapping out lol.........
  15. the worst of it really is getting you tools to fit with good purchase in the engine bay and unscrew the things and also i very nearly rounded some of the screws which would have been a right faff...... if theyre original screws i think theyre allen key fittment i seem to remember ? well mine were pretty sure you can buy a full set of nice new screws which is deffo worth it(nice and shiny lol) pretty easy tbh
  16. This is a good lightweight jack - http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/ctj1250a-11-4-tonne-aluminium-trolley-jack ive had it for about a year with no issue and it's really easy to move about and pump up ( get under low car lol) and for axel stands - http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/as10-axle-stands?da=1&TC=SRC-axel stands i use mine for the Dragster with no hassle and again nice and leightweight easy to use i would love to get one of these things pic below........imagine how easy life could be
  17. Dont know if anyone on here is a fan of Thrice ? but you need to check them out esp their new album major/minor so good ...... give it a chance seriously (theyre a rock band BTW) This track Anthology is amazing^^^^^
  18. As you cant get insurance below the age of 25 i got my dad to drive my G60 back from doncaster to cambs and he thought it was great then.............he hasnt driven it since so a year on its had a new stage 4 charger + 68mm pully + RSR outlet + new starter motor + battery + conti sport contact 2 at the back and toyo T1R's at the fornt (with tracking) +decat stainless scorpion exhaust plus loads extra little bits like oil ,filters, plugs distibutor cap and rotor arm....... ect and today i chucked my dad the keys and we went out for a drive and he absoutely loved it 1 hour later he finally drove home lol.... just goes to show how infectious a corrado can be
  19. dont know if theyre an original set of gauges (im sure a keener eye will) seems like a fairly decent price for them if theyre the real deal....? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/corrado-g60-centre-console-BOOST-GAUGE-/250931339251?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a6cac5ff3
  20. Well it arrived today Pics attatched im really pleased with how it looks and its gotta be quite rare to have one of these in the UK totally worth the money and the wait (it fitts very well) (lol before anyone comments on how crappy and bald my tires are , its getting two fresh Toyo TR1's on the front at the garage atm)
  21. right..... so i picked the unit up today and fitted it, i then ran the engine for a few minuets and before it got the first reading of 50c oil temp i switched the car off ... the fuel pump then ran without the fan coming on?. i heard the pump running from the fuel tank area and also from under the bonnet there was a strange noise coming from around the fuel rail which is hard to explain (it didnt sound like an electrical buzz if that helps). i really am pants with electrics so you'll have to cut me some slack lol.... note on the side for G60 owners, i asked how many of the relay in question are left and there are only 11 in stock
  22. cheers yandards According to the above my fan is about right say around the 10 min mark on overrun when hot, but my fuel pump would stay on for a lot longer so if the new relay doesnt solve the issue then i'll look at the thermo switch as the problem, i may just replace it for peice of mind as i have no idea how long its been on the car..... is fuel pump relay failure a fairly well documented ? or pretty uncommon ?
  23. Update I went down to my local VW Vindis and ordered a new fuel pump relay (marked 90 and fits into the no 16 relay house) PT no: 357906363 £37.28 inc vat it will arrive tomorrow morning so i'll feep my fingers crossed that this will solve the issue, i think the existing relay was the orginal unit so 20 years is pretty good
  24. right i'll give that a go today... but my fuel pump is stuck on all the time atm so should i try buying a new relay? i had noticed this overrun before but it has previously stopped after about 10 mins yes the fan will overrun too so i'll give the isv thermistor a check over too... my G60 does run pretty damn hot with an average water temp of 100 and oil will be around the 100- 110 so this hot start issue will almost deffinatly be a problem for me even in colder weather
  25. Hello all hope someone can steer me in the right direction so i took my car in to a car electics place because of a battery being drained all the time i was told that because supercharged VW's run hot and with hot start issues the fuel pump relay will run for a while to drain the lines of vapour and fuel so basicly my fuel pump is staying on constantly (and draining 5 amps at all times according to the garage) should i just look to replace the existing relay or could there be another issue? cheers guys
