Immaculate car inside and out, can get 45mpg+ and only has 28k on the clock, perfect runaround or daily! http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2915594.htm Steve.

Welcome to the site mate! Look forward to what you've got planned. Id be up for an oxfordshire meet but in about 2 months when the valver is on the road lol
-
Yeah they're freshly painted but i think its because they came from an MG? Think a bit of grinding and copper grease will be hopefully be enough!
-
Good idea, although problem solved now!!!! Found my mini sledge hammer so only took 20 mins and she was free!! Off to get some Lube now ;)
-
Lol ^^^ I've just been told something called a sprocket puller may do the trick???

Thanks mate yeh got 1 low profile tyre sorted today just to test and it fit perfectly except for getting stuck but thats a whole other thread lol, got some better pics of what it will look like with the new rims on though :D

Haha love the suggestions of drop kicking!! but i've tried with a mallet and a decent jack of the trolley variety, no luck as i can't get a good enough swing so think i need to get it to a garage on a ramp :( Heres the offending wheel centre:

Well i think its safe to say i've been a right plonker! I went and got a low profile tyre fitted to one of my new alloys, which now clear the suspension which is good...Although I tried to remove it again it won't budge!!! Think its stuck on the 'ring' which protrudes from the brake/hub and slots into the centre of the alloy. Any ideas? I'd appreciate any help at all as i'm mythed on how i'm going to get it off :(
-
Thanks man, they're not on the car yet as i ran into a problem...mainly that they don't fit!!! the tyre hits the suspension 'bottom plate' but i think its just because of the huuuge tyres! so i'm going to invest in some low profiles which i think will solve the problem :D anyway heres the progress on the wheels, i'm very happy with them but the fact that i'm going to be able to see the calipers through them means i now need to get the calipers powder coated!! AFTER SOME SANDBLASTING PRIMERED BLACK GLOSS-ED Hopefully get some low pro's this week and then get the wheels on!!

My new gaskets turned up so i cracked on and got the engine back together...started her up and thank god i'd managed to fit everything back where it should be! Can't believe the difference a few painted engine parts do to the look of it! Hard at work Next is a set of half decent wheels, managed to get some zr wheels with tyres cheap that look a bit like bbs alloys so going to clean them up and get them on.

Got my parts back from the sprayshop and i've got to say i'm loving how they've turned out! much better than i thought they would be!! Just need to order some new gaskets, get some gasket sealant and then i can re-fit all the parts and fire the engine up!! :D

Well my minds made up, I think i'll spend the money towards a moonroof instead -
Sorted the broken injector housing and dropped my parts off for spraying, they're sand blasting them, and then spraying them with aircraft spec paint for a very decent price! Just need to order some new gaskets for the manifold when they're done :)
