  1. They're one of my favourite parts on the audi R8, sets it apart, but i don't think it'll suit the corrado but you never know. :)
  2. Thats tidy mate, like the little touches!
  3. Cheers mate, going to get a industrial unit soon so i can start work on her, got lots of smoothing on the bodywork to do and i want to replace alot of the engine parts to make it reliable as its going to become my daily when its done (hopefully) I've managed to get a 16v inlet manifold from a mk2 golf which i'm going to have polished so theres alot of work to be done, can't wait to get started :)
  4. P.s. i've got some nice wheels lined up already and the back looks high because i haven't fitted the coilovers to the rear yet :)
  5. Hi guys thought i would stick a couple of pics up of the 1.8 16v before i start working on her over the winter. Got some big plans and hopefully have her looking good for next years shows. :)
  6. You should try and rent or buy an air compressor and get an air pAint gun as the rattle cans aren't any good as the poster above has said. I have also seen good things about a HVLP which is basically an electric compressor. Not sure how good they are but the guns are pretty cheap Cheers i'll look into an electric compressor, going to take my time on it so its probably a good idea if i buy myself a cheap one. Oh ok i didn't know you could sand down the final layer of laquer, how long does it take to cure or is that dependant on the environment? Well i was planning to go matt black... but if i can get a compressor and a spray gun i think i'll go for something more adventurous like gunmetal grey or metallic red. Lol good old diy in the garage, i remember fiberglassing a bumper a while back progressively getting dizzy from the fumes haha! :D
  7. Brilliant thanks, is there a good compressor/nozzle for painting bodywork or are they pretty standard? Can you laquer a matt colour?
  8. What equipment do you use? Looking into spraying the rado eventually but don't really want to use rattle cans...
  9. Nice rat looks mate, got to appreciate the work gone in to make it look rusty eh :) Look forward to seeing all that ice in the rado!
  10. I work at RAF Brize norton for Serco as a consignment tracker in air cargo :) work in all different aspects of air cargo, track all the freight in and out of warzones and other Raf Bases and get to drive all the different raf vehicles including the 16 tonne hyster forlift :)
  11. Love the colour and schmidts are never a bad choice!! :)
  12. I'd be interested in a full black carpet in the near future.
  13. Top info there, i'll be doing this at some point too, and this is now my guide thanks :notworthy:
  14. Thats a fair few injurys in the last 5 yrs by the sound of it! Just had my 2nd acl op myself so i know how frustrating it can be! Good luck on a quick recovery mate.
  15. Quality, i think i may have to invest in some led's then, is there much room above or below the light inside? Very nice work.
  16. Thats a nice front end! Was thinking similar but no grille's or lights, bit of bumper moulding to close up the gap a bit and some pressed plates because it looks a bit bare without the plate i think :)
  17. What indicators are they mate and where do i get them, if you don't mind that is, loving the smooth look!
  18. Yeh thats what i meant, thanks for the links has definately given me food for thought as i'm not really keen on it after seeing it done...maybe having some vents instead of the fog lights is an option...
  19. Just interested to know if anyone has a smoothed front bumper on here, i.e. removed the fogs and filled in the holes on the bumper. Thinking about doing it myself but the fact that the indicators are there has complicated things slightly :)
