  1. Next job i will be undertaking is fiberglassing the warped rear interior panels (unless someone gives me a better idea) and then Cleaning under the arches to be finished with waxseal. Feedback welcome!
  2. I'm loving the cup holder! as a non smoker too its perfect to get rid of the grotty ash tray too! Is there a group feeler thread yet as i will 100% get one of these if its under 20 quid!
  3. Recently i have acquired and fitted a leather interior for my C, most of it fits perfectly but as its been sitting in storage for a while the rear interior panels are slightly worn and the little plastic 'plugs' arent strong enough to hold it in place. I've researched a few forums and apparently using fiberglass on the inside to mould it into the right shape works but is there an easier/alternative way anyone knows of? I'll get pics up as soon as i get back from work later. Thanks! ---------- Post added at 11:56 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:55 AM ---------- Interior panels slightly WARPED, sorry.
  4. Been replaced so need rid, thanks. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220997992282#ht_500wt_1287
  5. Ok so its been a while since i updated the wip thread, main thing was i got the system fitted at DG autotech! Big thanks to the guys there for sorting it out for me as it wasnt just a straight forward fitting in the end but they did a superb job and were decent blokes! Didn't get any pics of it finished but heres some pics anyway: Next job was some new wheels as the mg ones were causing me aggro as they wouldnt sit flush without spacers on and the tyres were grinding on the arch so i got rid of them and got some racinghart ones i found on ebay. also decided to change the rear discs and pads as they were looking quite grotty, and swapped the dust shields over to get rid of the rusty old ones: before after Going to eventually clean the under arches and wax seal them i think. Few other bits done like cambelt, fan belt, p/s belt and water pump to keep her running well. And also recently bought a rare interior from Peter at Dubpower which has transformed the interior now! Apparently its a rare colour called mushroom-tan which came from a '92 vr? anyway i'm over the moon with it, i hope you agree: Next on the to do list is to get a short shift gear stick and do a gearbox oil change and get some new rims (potential ones below) and of course a respray! Some more random pics to show how the C looks now: Snow pic! Thanks for looking!
  6. Cheers for the ideas guys, liking the rear arm rest one but my drivers seat doesnt flip forwards so my mates have to climb over it to get to the o/s rear seat :( I dont have a spare wheel though so maybe thats the way forwards? Abdul, cant see the pic but think its just the work comp, have to have a look when i get home.
  7. It's a 1990 1.8 16v btw. Anyone know what could be up??
  8. I'm looking for ideas, basicly i'm missing having a bit of base to my music in the car but don't want any subs on show in the car or in the boot either, has anyone found any decent places to hide subs or even very subtle places they've located them? Thanks!
  9. My ex picked up a Lexus IS200 for under 5k and that was one of the nicest cars i've driven! I'd have to get a cheap mk2 golf to play about with though!
  10. Good morning! Just when i thought i was nearing the end of the line getting the c mechanically sound, the next problem occurs! Basicly i've had a bit of a knocking when i change gears recently, which i've been told is the linkage which isnt a major job i think? But now, when the c is cold the gear lever is very stiff and feels alot heavier to put into gear? Can anyone shed some light on this? Is it gearbox related/clutch related?? Thanks!

    Clutch

I've never bought a new clutch for any of my previous cars so don't really know what is decent, i've found one i think is suitable but need some opinions to whether its any good! Thanks http://www.larkspeed.com/index.pl?a=i&k=s&p=DT779FR9488
  14. I'll check it out in the light tomorrow, getting my cambelt done next week, reckon it might be worth getting the garage to do that at the same time, won't be any more labour so just a tenner extra for the part?
  15. Cheers mate, just had a look and that all makes sense. Only problem is the belt I ordered looks far too small when measured up against it to be the right one :-(
  16. How easy is it to change a p/s belt on a 16v? Looking to do it later tonight if its as easy as undoing a tensioner and swapping them over! Which I'm hoping is the case :-) any info or tips very welcome. Thanks!
  17. I'll try and get a pic, there's two bolts that hold the carrier on and one of mine is rounded and the hub nut is what screws over the rear exterior wheel bearing before the split pin goes on. Thanks mate.
  18. Got a couple of parts needed to put the c back together, need a bolt for my rear caliper carrier and need the nut that screws on just over the rear wheel bearing! Appreciate any help thanks!
  19. More of a joke present but i got some jump leads and a tow rope...don't know what they're trying to say with a gift like that!!
  20. Need the cambelt doing and going to change the timing chain, leather seats, New hidden Ariel and a decent sound system and eventually a respray and enjoy!
  21. Nice pics! Can't wait for some snow down here so i can get my first snow pics of the C :D
