  1. Just seen this on fleebay and can't work out if it'll look euro or subtle or just chav... Set up a poll for some opinions, pics attached :D
  2. Thanks for the help everyone! Been busy today and found a new 5th injector to replace the rusted grotty one! Also tried to pull the broken housing out with no luck so i took it to the workshops on the base where i work and they sorted it out for me, they undid the hex screw and removed the broken ceramic 'sleeve' for me :D Cheers i think i'll look into ordering a new one :D Again thanks for the quick response people, very much appreciated!
  3. Right i've managed to be too aggressive trying to remove a stubborn injector and snapped one of the injector housings on the lower inlet manifold!! Pics below, firstly is it integral? and secondly how easy is it to replace? Also i'm trying to find out what the part is pictured on my cam cover? I'm pretty sure its the 5th injector. Appreciate any help!
  4. Thanks mate, had a look and think I'll leave that one for the garage when i take it in for a compression test. To be honest I want to see what its like on the drive to the garage as opposed to when its fitted :) (cars off the road atm so cant try it out!) Update: bought an allen socket set so i could remove the lower inlet manifold but one of the injectors was stubborn leading me to make an absolute cock up and snap one of the injector housings off :( On a better note i've investigated getting my engine parts sprayed at the finishing section on the RAF base where i work and they've told me to take the parts in for a quote! I'm thinking a red cam cover with black inlet manifolds?? then some new black HT leads and i may even get the fuel lines done in black or red?
  5. Is that the kerb flying into the car?? Mental!
  6. Thanks mate, can't see anything out of the ordinary so think i'm in luck :D Had a sneak peak behind the engine while the inlet manifold was off and i spotted a grotty looking exhaust manifold! But not only grotty, it has a crack in it...great!! Got straight fleebay and was lucky to find a stainless magnex 4 branch manifold for a decent price, just picked it up but a bit wary on whether to fit it myself or not? Next job is to remove the lower inlet manifold and enquire about some powder coating ;)
  7. Awesome thanks, think I have one sorted now thanks all!
  8. Thanks for the quick replys, the 4-branch manifold? does it fit both the 1.8 model and 2.0 model?
  9. Wanted: a decent exhaust manifold and the downpipe? Attached to it as mine are grotty and the manifold has a hairline crack in it. Pics and offers appreciated thanks
  10. Looking very clean good work!
  11. Finally got started on the engine bay today after work, first port of call was to swap over the old cam cover for the tasty new one i got hold of yesterday :D So had to remove the inlet manifold (which will be polished before refitting) to get at it. Going to clean behind the engine while the manifold is off. Had a look at the cams while the cover was off but as i don't really know anything about engines maybe someone on here will say if they're not looking healthy...pics below :) Anyway the next job is to replace the roter arm, ht leads, polish the manifolds, removed the rest of the soundproofing from the bonnet, do an oil change, replace the spark plugs, sort a g60 front break conversion and get some g60 steels.
  12. Thanks for the replys people, got it sorted now! Main reason i wanted it replaced was so i could attach my eyebrow to it but the eyebrow is now for sale so problem sold :D
  13. Brilliant thanks for the help mate!!!
  14. Anyone got a set? Can pick up from 30 miles near Oxford.
  15. Saw that actually, very nice motor mate. :D
  16. Very nice mate, like the wheels! All red rear looks quality too :D
  17. Thanks buddy, i couldn't stand the primer any more so just went for it with the tornado red! I'm actually quite impressed with how its come out for a rattle can :D Cheers for the heads up about the wheels i'll check the funds and see if its possible, if not i think i may just get some g60's while i sort the engine bay out. The vents were BMW e30 vents £5 from fleebay ;) think i may have them done in red when the respray gets done! Update: Very happy with the rear end now esp with the custom number plate plastic replacement! sits perfectly now and fits in now its body colour. Finished tinting the rear lights red too (pics below) Also got myself some pressed metal plates to finish it off. Next on the list is to get the engine bay sorted, mainly just to replace some minor parts to create some reliability for when it becomes my daily. ---------- Post added at 07:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:58 PM ---------- And a little peak into the future maybe...Smooth bumper, hidden exhaust:
  18. Very good condition only just taken off: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220761308569#ht_500wt_1156 :D
  19. ^^^Someone with sense!! Hooray!! :)
  20. Massive overeaction, I'm sympathetic with the japs or anyone else who suffers for that matter, it is a joke and therefore shouldn't be taken seriously, I laughed at the Diana jokes when they came out and I'm English so its not double standards either.
  21. That looks immaculate mate! i'm in the same boat as VW_OwneR_85 with it falling off every chance it gets :D ---------- Post added at 11:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:21 PM ---------- That looks immaculate mate! i'm in the same boat as VW_OwneR_85 with it falling off every chance it gets :D
  22. Just been painting all the bits of primer on the car red untill i get my respray, trying to blend it into the original paintwork but finding it hard to get rid of the horrible white masking tape residue! :D
