Ah i got ya, not sure what ones are on atm don't think they are oem ones, will have to check. Ok i'll try bleeding the brakes, if that fails i'll change the pads and then if that fails i'll go for some hoses. Thanks, that looks pretty simple actually will sort that out before i invest in some new brakes. Really? i thought brembo's were supposed to be good?

Sorry if this is a repost (i have searched) and also if it is a pretty vague question, but i drove my new C for the first time recently and the brakes on there have only just been replaced, but they are sh#te! Can anyone recommend some decent discs and pads for a 1.8 16v, i've had a look around but i'll be honest i've never bought brakes so wouldn't know the difference between a decent set or not, have about £200-£250 to play with for discs and pads. Thanks

What kind of price do you think I should ask for then? I don't want to insult them but if nobody orders then they'll loose out anyway?? Jim Looking at others reactions i think i was being naive on the price as i've never replaced the carpet before. I was hoping it would be around £100-£140. At the moment i'm not in a position to spend more than that on the carpet, so i'll just have to wait or buy 2nd hand. :)

I'm having the same problem, every time i open the bonnet the stuff gets everywhere! Going to take the bonnet off and remove the lot, can't see there being any problems with it. Would be interesting to know what its purpose is though, i.e. sound deadening or insulation??

Corrado no, they all had same 42mm inlets, regardless of 1.8 or 2L, early 1.8's have a minor external casting difference but I've never seen a Corrado with a 50mm from the factory. If you get one off a golf then most will be 50mm as Kev says. there's not much difference in use, but I'd stick to a 42mm on a Corrado as they are a heavier car and benefit from the improved low end torque. The one i've got i found sitting on a mk2 golf so i think i'll have to check the pipe diameter, so if its a 50mm one is that only used on the golf?

Right this may be a stupid question but i'm going to ask anyway :) Is there a difference between the 2.0l and 1.8l inlet manifold as i got one from a scrapyard but i'm not sure what model it was from. Thanks!

leave pinstripes in the spray tint, fidly but works well and avoids messing with green bulbs or transformers/ led's. my preference anyway. Good idea, what does it look like when its flashing though?
