To hopefully prevent this from happening i modified the setup by the pull handle so i can adjust the tension on the whole lot from inside the car.[ATTACH=CONFIG]54069[/ATTACH] this was done by attaching a solder-less nipple to the lever arm and securing the cable through it. The zip ties are no longer present as i have added a bracket to accommodate the adjuster screw

you have a rubber bung on either side of your slam panel that are used to adjust the shut lines of the bonnet... wind the nearside one either in or out. there is either too much or not enough pressure to release the bonnet from its lock... I suspect the bung needs to go down a little bit if youre having to push the bonnet down to get it to release

Relay 30 is still used on fairly new golfs etc I pulled a few from very late MK3's

Ecu relay can be either number 30 or 32. Go to any breakers yard as they are common over many of the VAG range. I did the otherday and came out with about 15 of them

I may have a un-modified charger available soon. If the price is right I would let it go You could then get the porting done yourself if you wish

The car would run even with the charger bypassed... I popped a boost hose at the stealth R/R day last year and drove all the way home with no boost getting to the throttle body whatsoever. use this pic to check that everything is correct with the wiring on your ecu etc hope it helps [ATTACH=CONFIG]53653[/ATTACH]

If you're after dash screws go to halfords or somewhere similar. They do them in blister packs of 10 or so.

The inside doesnt smell too good at the moment.... both front seats were brown instead of black after his colostomy bag went pop at a meet today. cleaned as best i can with wet wipes and upholstery cleaner and cloths. can acquire a spare set of seats whilst i sort mine out.

Hi guys, What would be the best products to restore the leather interior?? Had a little accident with the lil guy today and it seems like a good excuse to restore the seats etc. Product names or links would be greatly appreciated

Search German eBay you will be able to find an inlet side for a charger on its own. I have considered buying from there to experiment with porting -

Added a de-badged grill to the rado today Just waiting on a SWG smooth one piece windscreen and scuttle trim to arrive :)

Washed and waxed with meguiars 3 part set. Cleaned up the borbets with meguiars hot wheels. Back to black on all exterior trim pieces. Fitted a rubber bung in place of the tape over my rear wiper hole. Made a world of difference. Another coat of wax to really finish it off tomorrow.

This is perfectly normal. The component glued on the left is a crystal oscillator, the pair on the right are capacitors.... it is normal for some components to be either glued or tied to the board. The only ecu where chips are not in a carrier are on VR6's. You have nothing to worry about
