I could be interested but would need a price and would courier mine down.http://www.wheelrefurbishing.com/
Check thier web site for prices. I expect 15%+ discount :)
-
I have a plan! If all those who are interested let me know what wheels they want refurbing (inc tyre removal and re-fitting) and I will approch BJV for group buy prices. Please also let me know if you wish to arrange your own couriers/drop off and collection. If you want to get your wheels to the Portsmouth area , either Andy or I will do the honours for a small donation to the fuel fund!

When are you planning on going up. Mine have to go up also, some time soon.We haven't set a date yet, although Andy has a cunning plan. It looks like we may be going for a group buy :)

Use a blow torch to get some heat on it first if it is safe to so. Works every time for me.

I will taking some wheels from Portsmouth to BJV http://www.wheelrefurbishing.com/ for a refurb. I will be driving up there so if there is anyone in the area who wants thier wheels taking up and collecting I am more than happy to do so for a small contribution to my petrol costs. I shared costs with Goldie when they refurbed the wheels on his Storm and I can only say that they do an excellent job and are very reasonable too.
Me - 9 wheels all 15"s five without tyres, four with
Andy - one set 16"s
12 Deg Ben - 4 wheels tbc Please confirm interest and transport requirements
Toad - set of speedlines????
Shaun G60 - Please confirm interest and transport requirements
Jay GT - BBS RK II's with the tyres already removed Please confirm interest and transport requirements
Big Tartan Judge - Please confirm interest and transport requirements
Leonard - Please confirm interest, sizes etc

I have had probs with the isv on my Golf. I know they should buzz when the ignition is on. I presume it would be the same for a Corrado.
-
Without doubt has to be DHLs parcel2go service http://www.parcel2go.com/ I've shipped some very awkward shaped items with them. 8)You might have to send them in two packages, just bind the tyres together and stick the labels on them :D (my RCs & Tyres made it from Germany like that).
I'd second that. Great service and price!

There's a Corrado in Silverlake breakers nr Portsmouth/Southampton with a a cloth interior which looks to be in very good nick.
-
No need to take the tyre off. It's best to pop the beads off if you are going to polish the rim as it will give you more room to work. Don't forget to loctite the bolts when you put them back together :)

Yes the Jetta is great! Over 300 miles covered already and I def agree that having a daily is the way forward. Got the log book today too :DMartin, yes I still have the steels - someone drove into and badly dented my garage door so I can't get to the other set I was going to bin and couldn't be bothered to make 2 trips to the scrappie... When do you need them? I'm happy to meet you part way down the m3 if that would help but I'm not around now until next thurs evening..
Cheers Fay. I'll drop you a pm next week.

Very tidy indeed 8) My sill plates have a 'Corrado' embossed onto them whereas yours are plain (albeit ribbed :norty: ) Are yours original VAG?Yes, I believe they are the later type.
-
They are about £40+ each so not cheap. Try swapping the relays first.
-
A few more of the Corrado...

How did you get the bay looking so nice mate?Keep thinking I should show my underbonnet some loving but it just looks like such a big job I dont ever start LOL
Matt
I've just kept on top of it over the years and I must admit to taking the C off the road for the past few winters. Thanks for the nice comment :)
-
looks like a decent motor mate! is this to keep the C off the road a bit?!The C has been wrapped up for the winter. The golf is too good to use as a daily. I think I'll have to walk to work
-
Hi Fay. I hope the Jetta is serving you well?
Do you still have the steel wheels as I now need some for my new Golf. I hope you haven't had the chance to bin them yet :)
-
My latest purchase. One owner and driver from new. Full main dealer history, every bill and MOT and best of all only 74k. I pick the Golf up at the end of the month once the current owner has collected his newn Scirroco :D :D :D :D
I purchased another GTI a couple of weeks ago as a daily but it will have to go now as I don't want to upset the neighbours :(
I'll stick details in the for sale section as soon as I can get some pics.

There's nothing terminal on the list. I would save if I were you. There are enough VW specialists in the area who can fix it without breaking the bank.
-
Seeing my old Jetta on your thread seems strange Fay. It's always good to know that a car I have enjoyed has gone to a good home. I've got the Golf insured now and have just been for a spin. It's not as comfy or tight as the jetta but after a bit more TLC it should come up a treat. Hope to see you at the next meet

Adapt some of the cord and ball ones from a later Golf/Polo. Cheap from a breakers , although you will need the two round parts which fit on the parcel shelf so the cord slides through.
-
The two relays are over £40 each, so not cheap!
-
What's their hourly rate for labour?
-
Graham it looks like you've been really busy. I'm looking forward to seeing the results. What colour paint have you decided on?
