Top idea, I could do with one of those.
-
One of the big questions has got to be how much will it cost you to make the change?
-
I fitted an ECP one about five years ago and it's still going strong.
-
I have kept every receipt since new. It looks quite impressive when all put together and laminated in a folder. It shouldl help to sell the car IF ever the time comes.
-
Screws for the handle are M5, 5 to 12mm long will be ok and they ideally need to be countersunk but it's not important as you won't seee them buried under the seat.Unless you have a very stubby screw driver, I'm fairly sure that you will have to remove the seat to put the screws in.
-
I think if they are fitted they should be working IIRC.
-
Nice example. Welcome to the forum :)

Quality engine bay mate and thanks again for reminding me how bad my front end is, im currently sporting 2 toneMostly Green Pearl Effect with a a contrasting Stonechip Metallic Pearl effect front end, i thought a quite rare dealer option as its not listed in the colours options for any year but apparently not so, many front ends have it.
The front is only like that as it's been off the road since E38. I expect the summer months will take thier toll.

A quick shot of the engine bay and front end post respray...

Well i will be the 1st to say about time you got some pics up.Loving the 288's and wheel combo 8)
What's wrong it's only taken me just over 5 years!
-
Yeh, defo get more pics up! Looks fantastic. Why did you let it go?It hadn't seen rain for four years and I was becoming obsessive so it was sold to someone locally was briefly on the forum. Some of the money went into my other Corrado. Running two Corrado VR's was a bit excessive.
I'll get some more pics up later.

Love the grey one 8)It was mint..
-
8) I have always had a soft spot for the VRS. Colour coded door handles would set it off nicely.
-
Looking good Fay RC's are they way to go if you are sticking with 17's. Not long to the sun will be here and it'll time to arrange a South Coast meet or two.
-
Blue ones look good and is the one i hold responsible for finaly after 10 years of wanting a Corrado made me take the plunge...
Don't blame me

Marting, the Storm Grey one looks gorgeous, i cant believe you let it go tbh...I had to do it as I was becoming obsessive. You know the feeling :)
The Jetta hasn't missed a beat and is averaging 42mpg on the way to work! We may be parting company in the spring as I have someone potentially interested.
Looks like you've been busy too 8)

any pics of the painted one? painted?first one looks super tidy, when you say "storm grey" what does that mean?
The colour was Storm Grey I think it was a 93/94 only colour.
I am looking for pics of the finished article at the moment. They did a lot of prep work for £1k job.

I've been on here for too long without posting any pics so here we go....... It all started with a valver about 15 years ago.
My old Storm Grey VR
My current VR which has been with me for about 8 years. It was treated to a new coat of paint lasy year.
Preps:
288's fitted thanks to Goldie and Toad who scared the neighbours (not really)!
A CCGB meet from a few years ago. How many left?
-
I had a Pilkington one which whistled because it didn't fit properly. After that I have always insisted on a geniune VW one.

Oh my god!!Will someone just tell me (by PM if required) which dude sells the chip I need for a 1995 Corrado VR6! The link above has three different models - one stating they are for the early model Corrados only, another dude selling them from **** Lithuana and the other chap selling 'em for a fiver!!!
Also, while I'm having a pissed off rant, how easy are these things to fit? Or rather, who can I take them to to fit for me?
Cheers
*breathes out*
Ditto :) Seems like a potential buy on the horizon.
-
I might be being a spaz, but I can't find them on eBay! The only one I found isn't compatible with my Corrado - I own a 1995 Corrado. :?It's not just me who can't find them :?
