QPENG - MBE 992 Full plug & Play Engine Conversion Kit Complete QPENG Plug & Play ECU conversion kit for installing 1.8T 20v engines Details can be found at: http://www.qpeng.com This was used installing a AUQ 1.8T into a 1990 VW Corrado and the kit is directly compatible between all 1.8T. The ECU currently has a map for the AUQ 1.8T engine, but maps for all other engine codes are available from QPENG and an be downloaded via the CAN interface in the loom (the sliver plug in the photos). This has the optional upgraded 2-Stage switched boost control, and has been mapped to 235Bhp. Also comes with the tacho interface box, so older style RPM gauges will work perfectly. Comes with Cable throttle body with calibrated throttle position sensor, and also an accelerator cable modified to the correct length for use with a 1.8T engine, and also the inlet manifold which has been modified to take a cable throttle body. Full kit consists of: MBE 992B reprogrammable ECU Full QPENG engine loom (labelled for easy installation) Dual-stage boost control upgrade 3-Bar MAP sensor RPM tacho adaptor box O.E VW cable throttle body with calibrated TPS Modified throttle cable Modified inlet manifold for use with cable throttle All working perfectly, and drove very nicely (was only used over the summer last year, so everything is almost as new!). Ahh...your 191 959 875 par number is correct! I didn't actually take the door card off to check my part number again.....just found images of a Corrado one online to see the part number (lazy...I know!)! Do you still have one available?

I think I've finally tracked down my parasitic battery drain to my window control module/unit... Think they are standard across all corrado's and B3 passat's, part number 357-59-875

Looks nicely polished! They are the two halves of the inlet manifold though...(you haven't got an exhaust manifold in the photos anyway). Also, that looks like a 50mm manifold from a Kr Golf...so cold be worth mentioning in your title!

The other problem with fitting the late grille to an early spec car is that it wont sit flush with the headlights without a fair bit of modification. I ended up relocating the lower tabs and then taking about 5mm off the whole inner/radiator side of the grille to make it fit flush.

This is just the sort of thing I have been after! I'll take the kit at the full asking price. -
The early C's already have a booster in the base of the aerial itself. Chances are that this could be dead. You can pull the headlining down at the back to get access to the aerial base. If you unplug the 12v supply to the aerial base and the signal improves.....the booster is knackered, and it's time for a new one!!

It's a throttle cable bracket from a 20v engine (or the exact same type is used on the 20v engines anyway!) I actually need a new one....so if you don't want to hang onto it let me know!

The doors are exactly the same for late/early though. The mounting holes for the impact-bars are in all the doors. It just seems like they weren't fitted to the early cars. I have retrofitted the impact-bars to my 1989 valver, and it was simply a case of bolting them in!

On mine holding the stalk simply used the H3 main beam bulbs (ones beside the grille) and the otherwise pretty much unused full beam filament on the dual filament H4 bulbs. I was thinking of making up a headlight loom that used both the H3 and H4 full beam filaments...instead of just switching on the H3 bulbs and leaving the H4 dipped filaments on when you pull the stalk to put on the full beams.... H4 full beam filament is rated the same wattage as the dipped beam.....so no risk of overloading anything!

Worth noting that GSF sell these rubber bushes for a couple of pennies too! My old Rocco had a bush that was made of foam and disintegrated when I was doing 70 on a dual carriageway!....Had to limp off the road using only the old manual choke as a way of getting any power!

Ditto! Don't take yoru car anywhere near a road until you get the suspension properly assembled....it could be the cause of a major accident! Your top mounts and the front springs will probably be damaged after driving without top-plates! Also, your front springs look like the wrong type from your photo! You will need the top-plates as shown in Jim's photo and a threaded bush (one of these http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=781) on each side. I wouldn't trust the mechanic who fitted them again either!!!!!
