  1. Mine are usless on the phone too for some reason. But if I go in person to the trade entrance there really helpful. They have even given me some small parts for nothing. (door pins, fuel line clips, door membrane plastic, etc)
  2. TAKE THAT SPOILER OFF NOW!!! The rest of the car looks really sweet though. ;-) :-)
  3. Hadn't really thought about it before but after a build like that driving out of the garage the first time must be nail biting stuff!!! Good luck for tomorrow and look forward to seeing it. ;-) :-)
  4. Thats good news! :D I'll let you know what the ratios are like once its fitted. How much will it cost you to get VR6 1st and 2nd fitted?
  5. Golf mk4 1.8t in black, remapped, air ride suspension and 18" billet gold center custom splits from image wheels. 8)
  6. Update. Gearbox arrived today!! It weighed 42kg and cost me £33 to get next day from Woking to Anglesey, pritty good! Guy gave me £15 off eBay price to put towards postage which was nice of him. So all in it cost £167 delivered. Had a look over it and all looks good. Have taken some pictures of shifter and flanges with camera phone so quality not too good. Think the flanges are 100mm. Am I measuring right in the picture?
  7. Have you tried these guys? http://www.motorsportworld.co.uk/
  8. I think a remap on a 150bhp K03 will get just over 200bhp with some other things like exhaust, filter and good intercooler. How much does a cupra weigh? Could try this 1/4 mile calculator from Kevhaywires post! http://www.letstorquebhp.com/calculator.asp Assuming weight at 900kg and 200bhp plus 2wd. Below is what you get. Is it 2wd? Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 200 Weight without Driver (KG) : 900 Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 225.79 0 - 60 (Secs) : 5.29 0 - 100 (Secs) : 13.09 60 - 100 (Secs) : 7.80 Quarter Mile (Secs) : 13.69 Terminal Speed (MPH) : 102.26 Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 13.49 Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 104.14
  9. I think some of them have a point. If you make a mistake in traffic and somebody flips you the bird, you should accept it as you probably deserved it for bad driving. Not turn around your car and chase after them. There no reason to do that unless your after starting some trouble.
  10. Yeah, your right it does look a lot like the one on my 02A. Do your 108mm flanges look more like the ones on this other box on eBay - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 4543002791 The mech looks different on that one too. Maybe more like yours but hard to tell from the picture shown.
  11. yeah, as far as I know. Comes with whats pictured. Will check when I speak to him tomorrow though.
  12. Sorted bought this one; http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 4543001487 Spoke to guy on phone called Gareth, says already has 100mm flanges on it. Reckons its post 2000 that had 108mm flanges on. He's going to weigh it tomorrow then it'll be on its way. Its a load off my mind finding a replacment so quickly and at a good price!! Sweet cant wait!
  13. I know Supersprint have a good rep because unlike other companies there products are developed and dynod for each individual application. So I’ve heard!!
  14. Isn’t that what I said? except I didn’t say some. "Think its saying that if the voltage is low and the injectors take longer to open BUT then SOME ECU's will increase the fueling to compensate." That better! :-) :-)
  15. Here's a quote from a page on engine managment that G-Man give me the link too..................tooo edatacate mooo! "Battery voltage If the voltage of the vehicles battery varies then it is likely that the time taken to open the injectors will vary. Since the EMS times the overall injector pulse if the injector takes longer to open then the time it remains open will be that much shorter and therefore the fuel introduced to the engine will be correspondingly less. Some EMSs have a correction applied to the base map of injector times for variations in voltage; the corrections are usually small but during shorter injector times (idle and cruise) they can be very significant to the efficient running of the engine." Think its saying that if the voltage is low and the injectors take longer to open then the ECU will increase the fueling to compensate!.
  16. Sounds cool, but I think drooling over other peoples massively expensive cars would get to me eventually! :-( :-(
  17. Flo You work at Porsche dealers then?
  18. I read that article before. Must of been where I read it.
  19. Think they where produced as an incentive for VW dealers to sell more Corrado's. VW dealers who sold the most Corrado's won the chance to purchase one of the campaigns.
  20. Bit harsh that mate!! Whether you agree with using fibreglass or not, from the pictures it looks like Andy's done a top job there!! ;-)
  21. Anyone know how much a gearbox weighs? :-)
  22. Cheers Andy, If the guy on eBay would reply to my emails I would have one by now! Been to dealers today to use there EKTA and its says that the 02J box's came with all different flanges on them. Ranging from 90mm, 100mm, 108mm and something called DD130!?!? Doesn’t seem to mater what model or year. You need the specific gearbox code for the gearbox to work out what size flanges are on it. Basically EKTA couldn’t tell me what size flanges would be on a 99 Audi A3 1.8t sport. They could be either 90mm, 100mm or 108mm. Would be handy if I could buy one that already has correct flanges as new 100mm ones are £62 each! Can someone else try working this out using EKTA, because I don’t trust what the parts guy at dealers was saying?
  23. From what I can gather there really isnt much difference between to two box's. If that is the case though. Cant I just fit my 02a shifter onto a 02j box?
  24. Sound, I'll get some nice oil and then on it goes!! :-)
