  1. I've got some Luminition leads from Demon Tweaks. Had them about a year and a half without any problems with them. Thought they would be a good buy because Luminition make complete aftermarket ignition systems.
  2. Hi Ben mate! Look sweet. Just got online to try find out some stuff about campers for my mom. Thought I'd drop by and say hello. My car may be going in for crash repairs tomorrow! (at last) :lol: Meeting the insurance engineer at pentraeth (local stealers) tomorrow. Hopefully he will okay the work there and then. So the body shop can just get on with it. So this isnt to off topic, I'm getting my car repaired and sprayed by the same people that did Bens lights! :lol: Glad to see a fine example of there work! :lol: :lol:
  3. I have an agreed value of £3500 with my insurance company. So even if it has a respray it wont be written off. I want a respray!! The car has a mint paint job, so when they repaint a section it wont all be the same as it was before. So the insurrance company should restore the car to the condition it was in before the accident. Meaning the hole car is was sprayed in the same type of paint. That sounds fair to me? What should I say to the insurrance engineer?
  4. My car has been backended by a mates festa! :roll: There isnt much damage to the car just the rear bumper and panel. The issue I have is that I know the car is painted in 2 pac paint (thinks thats what its called) and VW now spray cars with water based paint. I told the VW guy that I want the hole car done because I dont want two differnt types of paint on the car. He has told me to take that up with my insurrance company and reckons I have no chance. Can somebody explain what the differences in the paint are? Any advice on persuadeing my insurance company to give me a full respray? :lol:
  5. Leavon, I am also a 3D artist. Well I've only one title released so far (IndySeries, Codemasters). I worked on it while on a work placement year with Brain in a Jar. Who do you work for in Derby? Have just finished a Bsc Virtual Reality Design. Have started a company doing mobile applications and some e-learning stuff. Have also applied for a job as a lecturer in 3D and Video at the uni that I just graduated. So wish me luck on that one! Planing to return to the games industry in a couple of years time though.
  6. Well done Henny!! You can see a lot of hard works gone in there, let alone the money! What paint have you used and how much sanding was required to get such a clean looking finish? Gearbox looks brand new!!

  8. With regard to the power at low rpm of the Dubsport 20v. Has it been setup like that on purpose or is that typical for highly tunned turbo cars? (i.e. the more there tunned up the more aparant the lag becomes or am I a spaz)
  9. Jeff did say in the defence of the 20vturbo that it drives like a normal GTi unless you rev it high. So it can be driven economicly and sensibly.

  12. Here you go I've got some scans of those. The Green line is a VR6 turbo (done for a customer) The Orange line is dubsports 20vt mk2 The Blue line is a standard 4motion!!! (not to be out done they are building a mk4 with two of the VR6 turbo engines show on the graph plus Nitros and expect 1000bhp)
  13. This all reminds me of my trip to the pitstop/g-werks shed!! aaaaah, fond memorys of leaveing with a totaly transformed car. 8) 8) I know how your feeling DBoy. :) Only sad thing is I wont be able to afford to go down for more work for a while. (coilovers and phat rims becoming a must) :wink:

  21. Cheers, I’m skint that’s why I'm not going for a vibra tech. GSF have a choice of two. I assumed the more expensive one was VAG anyway? Can somebody check this part number for me 357 199 279 b (I’m new to EKTA :lol: ) should be the right engine mount for me. In addition, I have a small coolant leak where the metal pipe joins a rubber one on the way to the heater matrix, or way back. The part number for the clip is n 016 404 1. Will the replacement be a jubilee clip? The rubber pump doesn’t seam to be listed in EKTA it just says see illustration 146, which is of a Rallye rear floor plan!!
  22. So its important to fix it sharpish then? :roll: :( (I'll just get a standard replacement from GSF for now, £32 cheers) So to fit it- I get the car on some axle stands on a low setting. Then support the engine using a trolley jack. Do I need to remove my radiator and intercooler to get at it? Then remove the old one a replace with the new one! :lol: (any bolts that are awkward or usually seized?)

  24. Pritty sure my front engine mount is on the way out. There is quite a bit of engine movment. Its the same as a corrado g60 engine mount. Can I just tighten the bolt on the top of it to get some more miles from it? What other problems does a loose engine mount cause? The exhaust seams to be knocking at the rear of the car and 1st and 2nd gear are becoming harder to get into.
