then i discovered g-werks/pitstop and i love my car again. i enjoy going down to see the boys at g-unit as they are always more than willing to help and everytime i leave there its with a smile and a few extra horses. top bunch of blokes too1 definately recommended!!!!

I ve also had a rebuild done by both companies I had the Jabba rebuild done 3 yrs ago and got fobbed off with a story that my charger waas knackered and had to be replaced, which wasn't the case at all as in fact the supposed new reconed charger that I got back was the same one as it went in with unfortunately I only realised this quite a few months later and they just didn't want to know. The rebuild they had done was pushing out 12psi on the boost gauge stg4 spec. Then after 2 yrs I decided to get it rebuilt by darren and once it was taken out to the extreme :D it was then pushing 17psi out with a slight boost leak from one of the intercooler pipes so was more than happy with the level of service I got from darren and the boys at pitstop they make my G go faster every time I get some new kit off them 8)

I went down to G-werks to watch mine being done, they changed everthing! - Great service, I cannot recomend them enough!

I havn't actually used Jabba (thank god) but whenever I have spoken to any of the representetives at shows etc they always come accross as very arrogant and uninterested...

A very good friend of mine has used them alot in the past and is on his 2nd G60 now, up until now he has had no problems but less than a year after a stage 4 rebuild by them his car started spitting out bits of carbon etc and black smoke out the exhaust, he took the charger off and found some major problems inside, it went back to them but the warranty had just expired, he paid for another rebuild but less than 3 months later its making some worrying noises again! :?

Also people from all 3 of the recommended places (G-Werks, Pitsop and JMR) all post on here regularly... I don't see a Jabba rep?

I don't see a Jabba rep?

Like AmD, they are not interested in 'old' cars any more, far too much money to be made ripping off 20V owners etc...

I bought my car off a VW mechanic and he swears by Jabbasport. When I mentioned G-Werks (much more convenient to me as I live in Kent) he said that they were appaling. One of his mates took in a charger for a Stage4 upgrade and as a point of reference put dots of TippEx on parts of the internals that should be ported. When he got the charger back, all the TippEx was still there and the original bearings were still present? Who should we believe?

if you would like to pm me with the charger rebuild number on this alleged charger i would like to look into this issue as things said like this are taken very seriouslly indeed..

a rebuild number is all i need please...

just like to add im VERY upset by this, as customer satisfaction is VERY imprortant to me and i allways do everything possible to make sure 100% of people are happy 100% of the time. even if it means going out of my way...

As has been proved many times by people's comments on here Darren 8) :thumbleft:

It would be interesting to see if this rebuild number does ever actually appear though ;) "oh you mean g-werks... I err thought thought you said f-werks"

This is all a load of shit.... i have had many items done to my car from G-werks and daz inc a charger rebuild and many other probs and mods.....cant say he skipped on any detail on any day, every part he worked on he showed a lot of interest and sorted for me rather rapidly.... im a picky annoying b1tch when it comes to my car and im the type of person to stand over someones shoulder when they do the work and still he didnt mind or say anything..... even left my car with him for more than a week once and never had a problem not even a minor scratch.....G-werks is the total opp of what is mentioned above and like i said,,,this is bollockss

Also take into consideration ppl travel stoopid miles to go to Gwerks,,,,,WHY???

Hmm.. Would like to see how they put tippex in the rear back chambers of the charger where I port them out. Even on a mildly ported charger there would be little chance of any traces of tippex being left, I may sound arrogant, but i'm just confident that any charger that has been ported out of the G-werks/pitstop stable has been ported to our standard.

Numerous customer have waited around for several hours while i've been huddled in the corner porting their blower, it is not a 10 minuite affair and I don't spend the majority of the week in the corner porting for nowt.. LOL

Perhaps the mechanic has his comapnys confused, there are other companys have 'G' in the title we have had to clear the aftermath in thhe past rebuiling the charger to an acceptable standard. I'm still intriged, a rebuild number would be good.

Fair enough. Firslty I dont work for Jabba, I dont even work in the motor industry! My job is much duller than that! :) Secondly I've only had my car a week and as such I am looking at all of these companies with a fresh pair of eyes. I do understand cars and know how they work but I have no preconceptions about any of these VW specialists. However, from what I have seen here it seems that although JabbaSport have been around the longest they have become complacent about their service and standards of work. Hence, standards have slipped. As I said in my previous post, G-Werks are much nearer to me and the amount of positive words I've heard will mean that I'll go to them if I need any work done. G-Man:I will try to get you some details but it was somebody who the previous owner of the car knows so he might think it a little cheeky!

Jabba i'm sure have been great for G60 owners in the past.. but I guess times have changed a little.

My charger is a Jabba rebuilt unit and whilst I really really don't want to tempt fate, mine seems to have lasted 27,000 miles on a 68mm pulley and is coming up ready for its next rebuild which will probably be down at the g-unit in a few months time!! :)

The hearsay of 'alcohol abuse'within the company is true though, those claims will be upheld.. :)

that explains whats propping up the 11mm charger belt on the g-werks site then
