dunno mate. never seen that before, on first looks it looks like some sort of alarm sensor but its not fitted in the right place. have you got some sort of buzzer on your car, for lights maybe? might be a tiny speaker. im just guessin thou

Dunno what it is but some of the pics of the instruments in the owners manual show it so it must be standard in some cars

yeah, I think all corrados got em. at least the early ones. I thought it was some kind of tool to change the time on the MFA, but it isn't.

It's in a 1991 16v by the way. I have no idea my self, not a diagonstic port (k-jet), mileage is the old school type, so not for that. My idea is that could be where the sensor goes for a factory fitted alarm system.

I've had it on both of mine? someone gotta know! I thought it was some kind of reset key for the mfa? or a standard imobiliser thing?

mileage is the old school type, so not for that.

 

ahh,the dials with digitaly displayed mileage have it too....mmmm. :?

 

ive just sold a set of dials with this too,could have stripped em down and followed the tracks from the contacts :roll:

how about...

you guys running these dials,can you get the second mode on the mfa? where you can read your boost etc?

yup i could, not boost though obviously since it was a valver. Different technique to getting the 2nd mode than you use on a VR but its still there.

pull the connectors off the oil pressure switches and you'll soon see :)
