KADVR6 0 Posted July 5, 2008 are those manifolds an off the shelf product or did it have to be be made specifically for your corrado ? they are an off the shelf item.
pete_griff 0 Posted July 5, 2008 looking very good there buddy 8) do you know if pete at dubpower makes the manifold for storm - the one that stays in two separate pipes and retains the r32 cats?... (as i said before i want to retain all four lambdas if poss) if he does what would be the chances of getting one direct from him and not storm - i.e. paying a nicer price?! glad to see your build is coming along by the way - just got to take the plunge with the wiring now! - i'm sure it won't be all that bad once you get into it.... also, i'm in no hurry, but i can pay you whenever you want for the cigarette lighter housing i was on about in your sales thread, i will need it posted anyway, so if you could drop me another pm whenever is convenient for you with your paypal address and how much you want for it posted, i'll sort the cash out for you... cheers again - keep up the good work! :) Pete

KADVR6 0 Posted July 6, 2008 Looking good Karl.when you getting this sissy fired up ! should be getting the ECU next weekend, then its a case of doing some wiring?? which i hate, and it does not help being very colour blind :( see your getting on with the re-build on you baby 2.9 litre engine
CorradoVR6-Turbo 0 Posted July 6, 2008 im "old school" and still like the 12v ! but im sur that big snail strapped to the back will put you 24v boys in line! its a shame your the other end of the world as i would be happy to help you out sorting the wiring out mate. coullstar 0 Posted July 13, 2008 I havent looked through this but its such a good move. Ive had a few VR's and a 4motion and the 24V engine is so much nicer. Its must be brilliant in a Corrado. If my VR eats itself then this is exactly what I want to do.
CoxyLaad 0 Posted July 14, 2008 is that r32 manifold designed specifically for the corrado, or does it fit the 4wd system on the mk4 aswell?
pete_griff 0 Posted July 14, 2008 is that r32 manifold designed specifically for the corrado, or does it fit the 4wd system on the mk4 aswell? i'm pretty sure it will only fit into a corrado - that's certainly what it's made for anyway.... not wanting to hijack the thread or anything, but i will hopefully have a set of milltek stainless r32 manifolds for a mk4 in the next couple of days if you are after some. also got the appropriate original r32 cat to go on the end of them with only 12k's worth of gasses gone through it! drop me a PM if you are interested... KADVR6 0 Posted July 14, 2008 is that r32 manifold designed specifically for the corrado, or does it fit the 4wd system on the mk4 aswell? well the one i fitted is specially made for the r32 conversion. but pete at Dubpower also makes them for the mk4/mk5 R32's also. KADVR6 0 Posted July 19, 2008 well i'm getting very annoyed at the moment due to english companys f*****g up on orders :censored: i ordered a new oilcooler/connections and the oilcooler was the wrong make/size, and the connections were all wrong also. I also ordered some new spal fans 3 weeks ago, they have still not turned up, the guy from where i bought them from keeps on telling me they will be there tomorrow, if i hear that one more time i'm gonna drive to manchester and "have a chat" :mad2: but on a plus note, i have received my new "well to me anyway" DTA ecu from off kev, so will start trying to figure out where/what all those wires need attaching to :? should prove interesting seeing i'm very very colourblind  karl
pete_griff 0 Posted July 19, 2008 hey there buddy - sorry to hear you are having all these problems - i don't know what it is about suppliers and delivery companies! - my r32 engine was rattling round in the back of a lorry for over a week because they couldn't be arsed to pick up the phone and find out where it was supposed to be delivered too! - turns out they broke a bracket that is part of the aircon pump - i'm not actually that bothered as i won't be using it - but i shall be claiming for as much as i can just for their outright idleness and incompetance. admittedly my dad's place where it was being delivered is in the middle of nowehere but no other delivery company has had problems finding it, and then they had the phone number the whole time anyway - it makes you wonder what these people actually do while they are at work! that's good you've got kev's old dta - i wondered who he sold it to, guess now i know - at least it's been proof tested for you! good luck with getting everything sorted as usual matey - don't forget to keep us all informed :D
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted July 19, 2008 I recognise that spaghetti of wires  Yes mate, you will find it usually is the English companies that let us down with our projects. I have a catalogue of blunders from UK suppliers. Parts from America and Europe have always been perfect and on time for me. I can help you wire the DTA in mate. I can also go through the software and show you how it all works and how to tune the engine  July is blitzed for me though, prob looking at the end of August ish :? Give me a bell anytime if you get stuck.
KADVR6 0 Posted August 6, 2008 well the car has kinda taken a back seat for a while due to the house purchase/move etc etc, i was also having problems with the wiring, and being colourblind does not help :( i had a couple of kind offers from people on here to help me out :notworthy: and i also kinda put the DTA for sale on here. But after speaking to Tim/Laura at The Phirm who i cannot praise enough for all there help so far :salute: i have sent the R32 engine loom, and the DTA down to them so they can hopefully get it all spliced together for me, and also put a base map on it. Just a shame that some more local "specialists" were not so helpfull?? so while that is being done, i have bought some leather ford rs recaros for the fronts, as i was never 100% happy with the rover coupe recaros i had, the side bolsters were just not big enough, yeh ok the new recaros need cleaning/feeding, then dyed red to match the rest of the interior, but how much do you think i paid for them??? karl
