Not For the Faint Hearted!

Recommended Posts

Well Raddo_Rob and I bought the lovely 16v from a member here...

Imagine the scene.

Pissing it down with rain on the M6 in the middle of overtaking a lorry. So doing ever so slightly above 70 then this happens

Thank fcuk I avoided hitting the lorry or anything else for that matter. But JEEZ it was scary!

It's not easy trying to see through a bonnet...

Indeed it did. Fcuk knows what happened, Pot hole jolt of acceleration (In a 16v.... Hard to imagine)

One minute all was fine.

Next Bang... I'm trying to see through a bonnet, Hit on the head by the interior light and sunvisor, Shards of glass everywhere....

The bonnet hit the roof with enough force to make the sunroof pop open 6" and we all know they aint light!

Thanks for the well wishes guys.

Your all right in one thing I :censored: :censored: my pants!

You could have built a council estate with the number of bricks I :censored: !

The car is a write off. Roof is mega :censored: !

To be honest i have no idea how the hell i got to the hard shoulder. I was a bit dazed from being cracked in the head by bits of interior.

I don't think the lorry driver saw anything i less than 1/4 of the way to overtaking him.

i was gonna have a respray any way and managed claim on insurance pay £200 to the garage and got the whole car done!

i did have to strip it ready for the garage tho but i learned alot doing it!

chin up just thank your lucky stars your alive.i had my 4yr old boy in the car at the time and shat myself!!!

never did find anything wrong with the bonnet mech tryed to make it and it wouldnt?? replaced it any way :D

Holy poo - glad you're OK.

Wonder how this happens though, I though the safety catch should have held it for long enough to pull over.
